The Federal Appeals Court lifted injunctions on two of President Trump’s Executive Orders.

In a monumental victory for patriotism and fairness, a federal appeals court has removed barriers to President Trump’s executive orders aimed at dismantling the Marxist-inspired Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) policies. This Friday evening, the Virginia-based 4th Circuit Court of Appeals, comprised of Chief Judge Albert Diaz, Judge Pamela Harris, and Judge Allison Blair Jones Rushing, made this significant decision. Judges Diaz and Harris, appointed by Obama, and Judge Rushing, appointed by Trump, have cleared the path for the executive orders to proceed as the legal process continues.

These executive orders, signed by President Trump, are designed to remove DEI policies that unfairly discriminate, targeting both federal agencies and federal grant recipients. Last month, a Biden-appointed judge temporarily blocked these efforts, but the 4th Circuit Court has now intervened, allowing the orders to take effect while the case undergoes further legal examination.

This legal battle, initiated by the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore alongside three national associations, is far from over. Although the court sided with Trump’s administration, the two left-leaning judges expressed their admiration for DEI policies. Chief Judge Diaz even claimed that these policies foster respect and value for everyone, questioning, “What could be more American than that?”

Judge Harris defended the executive orders, stating they do not infringe upon the First or Fifth Amendment, emphasizing that they only target actions violating existing federal anti-discrimination laws. She clarified that these orders do not terminate grants based on a grantee’s speech or actions outside the funding scope.

Judge Rushing, a proud Trump appointee, critiqued the district court’s preliminary injunction, noting that it inappropriately applied to non-defendants. She warned against overstepping judicial bounds, insisting that personal opinions on DEI should not influence legal decisions. Judge Rushing’s words remind us to stay true to the Constitution and ensure our nation’s laws remain impartial and just.
