In a perfect illustration of liberal chaos unraveling on live television, CNN’s Anderson Cooper was left red-faced after a cringe-worthy woke fact-check while hosting a town hall with Bernie Sanders. An unexpected clash of pronouns took center stage, exposing the contradictions of today’s woke culture.
During the event, Cooper introduced Grace Thomas, a local civil rights attorney and staunch Democrat activist. Attempting a cordial introduction, Cooper remarked, “I want to introduce Grace Thomas. She’s a local civil rights attorney.” Yet, he was swiftly corrected by Thomas themselves: “It’s they/them pronouns, actually.”
While this might sound like satire, it was indeed a live CNN broadcast, and Cooper unwittingly stumbled into a web spun by the very ideology his network often champions. Ironically, Thomas—excuse us, they—proceeded to ask Sanders why “men” are drifting away from the Democrat Party, seemingly unbothered by their own choice of words.
The hypocrisy was glaring. As an X user commented, “Notice that she insisted on ‘they/them’ pronouns for herself, but then asked a question about ‘men’ leaving the Democrat Party. Isn’t she misgendering by calling people she doesn’t know ‘men’? At some point will she realize her ideas are insane?”
Another user highlighted, “Had a follow-up question after that misgendering faux pas, where she’s asking Sanders as he leans in to avoid misgendering her and drawing everyone’s ire, ‘why people of all demographics are turning away from the Democratic party?’ Who’s going to tell her? It is exactly because of people like her and their behavior that people are turned off and turned away from the Democratic party.”
The conservative community quickly fired back. Collin Rugg, co-owner of Trending Politics, humorously tweeted, “CNN’s Anderson Cooper gets corrected after misgendering a civil rights attorney at a town hall event with Bernie Sanders. Wow, what a bigot. Lmao.”
Gunther Eagleman, a political commentator, joined in, stating, “Anderson Cooper just misgendered a Civil Rights attorney. They are not serious. Keep on putting the pronoun police on camera, we will win every election.”
Meanwhile, podcast host Riley Gaines demanded sarcastically, “Anderson Cooper’s immediate resignation for believing what his eyes were telling him he saw. Bigot.”
Media fellow Tim Young from the Heritage Foundation aptly noted, “I can’t stop laughing at this attention-seeking leftist correcting Anderson Cooper on her pronouns… ‘They/them actually…’ Democrats will never win another election again.”
Every time Democrats speak, another swing voter is alienated. Keep showcasing the most extreme activists, and watch as the nation steadily turns away.
