It appears that Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) might find herself in quite the legal quagmire as the Federal Elections Commission (FEC) launches an investigation into her 2024 re-election campaign. This development follows reports of dubious donations that have raised eyebrows across the board.

The Daily Signal revealed that the conservative advocacy group, The Coolidge-Reagan Foundation, filed a complaint with the FEC on March 26. Following this, FEC assistant general counsel for complaints examination and legal administration sent Crockett a notification letter on April 2.

“The respondents will be notified of this complaint within five business days,” Brown stated in her letter. “You will be notified as soon as the Federal Election Commission (FEC) takes final action on your client’s complaint,” she added. “Should you receive any additional information in this matter, please forward it to the Office of the General Counsel.”

The complaints zero in on a 73-year-old Texas resident, Randy Best, who is alleged to have made 53 distinct donations totaling $595 to Crockett’s campaign through ActBlue. However, Sholden Daniels, one of Crockett’s GOP contenders for 2026, shared a video where Best’s wife denied any knowledge of these donations, suggesting they were made without the couple’s consent.

The Daily Signal further reports that Crockett’s campaign amassed approximately $870,000 in total contributions via ActBlue. The Coolidge-Reagan Foundation’s FEC complaint highlights this issue, indicating the potential for more fraudulent transactions.

“Rep. Crockett, through her principal campaign committee Respondent Jasmine for US, has received thousands of other donations through ActBlue totaling over $870,000,” the complaint states. “It is unclear how many of these are similarly fraudulent transactions, made in the name of unsuspecting innocent people who did not actually provide the funds.”

ActBlue’s fundraising methods have consistently been under scrutiny by congressional Republicans and GOP state attorneys general. According to a previous Daily Signal report, multiple elderly Americans have claimed unawareness of donations attributed to them through ActBlue.

Next, Crockett has a 15-day window to respond to these allegations. Historically, the FEC has been known to grant extensions of 30 and 60 days, as noted by Backer.

Investigations into ActBlue’s operations have been ongoing. The O’Keefe Media Group shared video evidence in August of Texan donors shocked by unauthorized donations made in their names, escalating concerns about the platform’s integrity.

Janice Bosco from Horseshoe Bay, TX, epitomizes those affected, stating, “I’m not rich. I don’t give that kind of money,” upon discovering 648 donations worth around $16,000 made under her name.

In an explosive revelation with Benny Johnson in March, Rep. James Comer (R-KY) disclosed a partnership with the FBI to probe ActBlue, suspecting it of orchestrating one of the largest money-laundering schemes in American history.

Comer laid out a robust case against the leftist fundraising giant, accusing it of channeling potentially billions of dollars in shady capital—possibly from foreign adversaries—into Democrat coffers masquerading as “grassroots” contributions.

“We’re investigating ActBlue the same way we investigated the Bidens,” Comer asserted. “We’re starting with the suspicious activity reports—bank violations that flag financial crimes. And let me tell you, the evidence is overwhelming.”
