Federal Judge Timothy McFadden, appointed by President Trump to the district court in Washington, has struck a blow for American interests by refusing to order the reinstatement of federal funds to Catholic groups advocating open borders and unregulated migration.
Judge McFadden’s ruling highlights this as a contract issue better suited for the Court of Federal Claims, as reported by the Washington Times. This decisive action follows a February lawsuit filed by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) against the Trump administration, challenging the suspension of refugee resettlement funding.
This strategic move is part of President Trump’s broader initiative to put America first. It prioritizes national security over programs that facilitate unchecked migration, which the US Catholic Bishops support. The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, names several government departments as defendants, including the State Department and the Department of Health and Human Services.
The USCCB, operating as a non-profit in Washington, claims that cutting federal funds violates congressional appropriations and the Refugee Act of 1980. However, these bishops seem to prioritize open borders over the security of the nation!
According to the complaint, the Catholic Church has long been a refuge for immigrants, assisting them with housing, employment, and integration into American society. This tradition dates back to legislative actions in 1962 aimed at supporting refugees from communist countries, and the Refugee Act of 1980, which partners federal funding with private organizations for resettlement efforts.
Despite the lawsuit’s claims, it fails to acknowledge the chaos wrought by President Biden’s reckless immigration policies, which left the southern border wide open and communities overwhelmed. Trump’s decision to pause this funding is a necessary corrective measure, prioritizing American families, veterans, and the homeless over unchecked migration.
In a decisive move, President Trump signed Executive Order 14155 in January, suspending the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program. This order is a crucial step toward ensuring taxpayer dollars are used wisely to support American citizens first.
Despite the administration’s clear prerogative, the USCCB has resorted to legal action, challenging Trump’s lawful authority. How has charity become synonymous with guaranteed government funding? If the Catholic Church is truly committed, it should use its own vast resources rather than demanding taxpayer dollars for policies that undermine American communities. What a disgrace!
