And you won’t believe which Supreme Court Justice is about to get impeached.
This previous April, Wisconsin saw the most expensive Supreme Court election in history.
Outside groups put over $51 million into this race, the bulk supporting extreme Left-wing candidate Janet Protasiewicz.
Supreme Court elections in Wisconsin are supposed to be nonpartisan, but to supercharge liberal turnout Protasiewicz wared the district maps Republicans attracted 2011 calling them “rigged” and “unfair” due to the fact that Republicans currently hold a 64-35 majority in the State Home and a 22-11 majority in the State Senate.
Thanks to the deluge of money gathering to support her candidateship Protasiewicz won the election and flipped control of the Supreme Court to a 4-3 liberal bulk.
Left-wing groups understood they set up a ringer on the court and without delay taken legal action against, knowing Protasiewicz provided the crucial to throw away the old maps and change them with district maps that would seal an irreversible Democrat bulk in the state legislature.
Republicans gotten in touch with Supreme Court Justice Janet Protasiewicz to recuse herself from this case.
Protasiewicz refused.
That left Republicans in the state legislature no choice but to continue with impeachment as Protasiewicz stopped imitating a judge and was rather conducting herself like a partisan activist.
Republican Speaker of the State House Robin Vos revealed the production of a panel to design a path forward on impeachment.
“When you’re saying that a person side has rigged maps, you have actually decided that maps in her viewpoint are biased, which is the point of the whole case,” Vos informed the Associated Press. “She should not have stated what she did, but she did. And now she has to own it.”
Popular Wisconsin Republicans backed the impeachment effort.
“If she does not eliminate herself from the case, the members of the State Assembly need to vote to impeach Justice Protasiewicz,” former Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker described.
“She clearly ought to recuse herself from any redistricting case, and if she doesn’t, the Legislature has the ability” to impeach Protasiewicz, Wisconsin Republican Politician Senator Ron Johnson said in a statement to The New York Times. “I hope they would.”
Democrats think about anyone they do not hold power in or any election they don’t win “illegitimate.”
That’s why Protasiewicz broke the norm of marketing on how she would rule in a future case that might hand the Democrats long-term and total control over the state of Wisconsin.
And impeachment may be the GOP’s only treatment.
