‘WE LOVE TRUMP’: Iowa Bar Goes Wild When The Former President Makes A Surprise Appearance

Customers at the Treehouse Pub in Bettendorf, Iowa erupted into cheers of “we love Trump” after the former president made a surprise visit on Wednesday. Trump is currently leading his Republican challengers — including Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and Vivek Ramaswamy — by a wide margin among most mainstream pollsters as he seeks to begin the 2024 campaign season with a victory.

The former president was greeted by loud cheers and supporters holding Trump 2024 signs as soon as he entered the pub on Wednesday evening. Bar patron soon erupted into chants of “USA, USA” and “we love Trump” as the former president shook hands and mingled with supporters.

Trump then began to hand out a large stack of pizzas to the Treehouse customers. “Who wants pizza from Trump?” said the GOP frontrunner.

The former president’s visit to the Treehouse Pub mirrored previous visits to the Hawkeye State during the 2024 campaign season. At the Iowa State Fair last month, Trump was treated like a rockstar as he handed out pork chops and was followed by a massive crowd throughout his brief visit. He received similar receptions at the Iowa -Iowa State football game earlier this month, where he visited a frat house, mingled with students and was greeted by an enormous crowd upon entering the stadium.

On Wednesday, Trump addressed a large crowd of supporters in the small town of Maquoketa. “In less than four months from now, we’re going to win the Iowa caucuses in a historic landslide,” Trump told supporters.

The former president was in the Hawkeye State for his first of five planned visits by the end of October. While Trump has traveled to Iowa far less than his GOP primary opponents, he is widely viewed as the favorite among the nation’s most-trusted pollsters.

Trump narrowly lost the Iowa Caucuses to Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) in 2016.
