The Justice Department subpoenaed four New York Times reporters Friday after the paper published classified details about Air Force One security — and the DOJ just made it clear the reporters aren’t the target.

The leakers are.

Julian E. Barnes, Eric Lipton, Tyler Pager, and Eric Schmitt received federal grand jury subpoenas ordering them to testify in Manhattan next Wednesday. The subpoenas follow the reporters’ Wednesday article exposing that President Trump switched planes mid-trip from Turkey due to security gaps in his new Air Force One.

According to the Times‘ own reporting, the new plane — donated by Qatar — lacks advanced antimissile capabilities. Citing anonymous sources, the paper reported the Secret Service urged Trump to depart Turkey on the older, more secure plane, then switch to the new aircraft at a Royal Air Force base in England.

“We have it going to Europe to a couple of bases so the soldiers can see it because it’s truly magnificent,” Trump told reporters during the NATO conference.

The president denied security drove the decision, saying the new jet needed to make stops at U.S. military bases.

Before publication, an FBI official contacted the Times requesting the story be held as a potential national security risk. The official declined to explain the specific threat, the paper said.

DOJ spokeswoman Emily Covington made the administration’s target crystal clear Saturday: not the press, but whoever leaked classified Air Force One security details.

“We value and appreciate the important role that the press plays in this country, but [the] DOJ also plays an important role to make sure that the people entrusted with our nation’s secrets do what they’re supposed to do with that information,” Covington said. “We recognize there may always be natural tension there, but we are not going to ignore the law.”

The Times responded with outrage, calling the subpoenas “an extraordinary escalation in President Trump’s efforts to threaten and intimidate independent news organizations.”

David McCraw, the paper’s top lawyer, claimed the move aims to “prevent the public from knowing what is happening in their country by intimidating journalists from doing their jobs.”

The subpoenas come amid renewed Iran threats against Trump’s life and escalating U.S.-Iran hostilities. The reporters’ article cited the alleged Iranian assassination plot as context for the Secret Service security concerns.

The subpoenas contain few specifics beyond requesting testimony “in regard to an alleged violation of federal criminal law,” according to the Times.

The case raises questions about how classified presidential security details ended up in the hands of New York Times reporters — and who inside the government leaked them.

Rep. Henry Cuellar thought his corruption scandal was behind him. His brother just dragged him back into the spotlight.

Martin Cuellar, the sheriff of Webb County, Texas, faces a court hearing Thursday over allegations he misappropriated county funds to run his own business. If convicted, he’s looking at 10 years in federal prison and a $250,000 fine.

The case is a nightmare for Henry Cuellar, D-Texas, who’s trying to move past his own indictment and pardon from President Donald Trump. The congressman was accused of accepting nearly $600,000 in bribes from an Azerbaijan-controlled oil company and a Mexican bank before Trump wiped his slate clean last year.

“This pardon gives us a clean slate. The noise is gone. The work remains.”

That was Cuellar’s statement when he announced he’d seek re-election the same day Trump pardoned him. But the noise is back — and it’s coming from inside the family.

Martin Cuellar allegedly used county employees and resources to operate Disinfect Pro Master, his private disinfecting business. According to the Department of Justice, he pocketed roughly $175,000 in illegal proceeds between 2020 and 2022.

“They allegedly opened Disinfect Pro Master in April 2020 and entered into service agreements with local businesses and restaurants despite having no employees or supplies of their own,” the U.S. attorney’s office wrote.

“The indictment alleges WCSO employees handled the company’s day-to-day operations from the sheriff’s office, where they picked up schedules and equipment to conduct disinfecting services both on and off the clock with the county.”

Martin Cuellar has pleaded not guilty. The charges remain allegations. The case has not been proven in court.

But the family ties run deep. FEC filings show Henry Cuellar’s campaign and leadership PAC have funneled $11,000 to his sister Rosie Cuellar for campaign work in 2022, then donated $1,200 to her judicial bid. He donated $8,400 to Martin Cuellar’s sheriff campaigns in 2008 and 2020.

The National Republican Congressional Committee isn’t letting the connection slide.

“The latest legal trouble surrounding Henry Cuellar’s family proves one thing: The scandals didn’t end with Henry. They simply moved down the family tree.”

Christian Martinez, the NRCC’s national Hispanic press secretary, called it a “culture of corruption” in a statement.

“The Cuellar family’s culture of corruption has turned South Texas into a case study of what happens when one self-serving family holds power for too long,” Martinez said.

Cuellar’s campaign did not respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

Having cleared the Texas primary in March, Cuellar now faces a general election on Nov. 3. He last won re-election in 2024 with 52.8% of the vote against Republican Jay Furman — a margin that could narrow significantly with his brother’s trial hanging over the race.

I want to thank President Trump for his tremendous leadership and for taking the time to look at the facts. I thank God for standing with my family and I during this difficult time. This decision clears the air and lets us move forward for South Texas.

The Trump administration uncovered a massive Medicare fraud scheme — and already blocked $220 million in fraudulent claims tied to a suspicious 7,100 percent surge in transplant billing.

Medicare claims for tissue and organ transplants, known as allografts, exploded from $200 million in 2019 to $14.4 billion in 2025 — a jump that set off alarm bells across the White House Anti-Fraud Task Force.

Vice President JD Vance leads the task force. CMS Administrator Mehmet Oz leads enforcement.

Since March, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services denied 96 percent of allograft claims flagged during the review.

“That’s a lot of money. And that bankrupts not just hospital systems and physician groups, but it causes major problems across the entire landscape.”

CMS identified 4,200 potentially fraudulent allograft claims totaling $224 million through May alone.

The crackdown didn’t stop with transplants. The administration also announced enforcement actions targeting Durable Medical Equipment fraud — wheelchairs, walkers, hospital beds, and other gear.

Payments have been suspended to 102 suppliers. Billing privileges revoked for another 725 suppliers. Those suppliers accounted for 8.6 percent of all Medicare-funded equipment in 2025.

CMS officials said they found claims for equipment that was never medically necessary, never ordered, more expensive than prescribed, or never delivered at all.

A spokesperson for Vance’s office said the task force “has effectively wiped out Durable Medical Equipment fraud in America” in just six months. The vice president and Oz announced a moratorium on new DME companies, paired with aggressive enforcement by DOJ and HHS.

Oz told Fox News Digital the administration’s whole-of-government approach stopped the bleeding.

“We stopped nearly $220 million in fraudulent skin substitute claims and suspended or revoked billing privileges for over 800 DME suppliers. We are keeping our promise to the American people: we will root out corruption, protect vulnerable patients, and hold every bad actor accountable.”

Oz had a message for anyone still trying to rip off Medicare.

“To anyone out there, and I’m talking to you if you’re a fraudster, for anyone out there who thinks they can get away by stealing from the American people, especially American patients, I’ve got a bit of advice for you: Do not walk away from this press conference. Don’t walk away from us. You start running because the vice president and this task force are coming after you.”

The White House Anti-Fraud Task Force is now expanding its review to other high-risk billing categories across Medicare and Medicaid.

The Trump administration uncovered a jaw-dropping 7,100% surge in Medicare claims for skin substitutes over just six years—from $200 million in 2019 to $14.4 billion in 2025—and has already blocked millions in fraudulent payments as Vice President JD Vance’s anti-fraud task force cracks down nationwide.

The staggering spike prompted immediate action from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), led by Administrator Mehmet Oz, which identified 4,200 suspicious claims for skin substitutes—known as allografts—totaling $224 million in charges through May.

Since March, CMS has denied 96% of claims flagged as potentially fraudulent.

“THAT’S A LOT OF MONEY. AND THAT BANKRUPTS NOT JUST HOSPITAL SYSTEMS AND PHYSICIAN GROUPS, BUT IT CAUSES MAJOR PROBLEMS ACROSS THE ENTIRE LANDSCAPE.”

Oz delivered that warning during a press conference in Milwaukee on Wednesday, ahead of expected remarks from Vance highlighting the task force’s wins.

The agency also targeted alleged fraud in Durable Medical Equipment (DME)—wheelchairs, walkers, hospital beds—suspending payments to 102 suppliers and revoking billing privileges for an additional 725 suppliers.

“In just six months, the task force has effectively wiped out Durable Medical Equipment fraud in America,” a spokesperson for Vance’s office told Fox News Digital.

The crackdown came after Vance and Oz announced a moratorium on new DME companies, paired with aggressive enforcement actions by the Justice Department and HHS.

The suspended suppliers represented 8.6% of all Medicare-funded Durable Medical Equipment in 2025.

Sources at CMS told Fox News Digital that fraud was identified for suppliers who filed claims for equipment that was not necessary or ordered, filed claims for equipment more complex or expensive than ordered, and claims for equipment that was never delivered.

“Thanks to the whole-of-government approach spearheaded by the White House Anti-Fraud Task Force, we stopped nearly $220 million in fraudulent skin substitute claims and suspended or revoked billing privileges for over 800 DME suppliers,” Oz said in a statement.

“We are keeping our promise to the American people: we will root out corruption, protect vulnerable patients, and hold every bad actor accountable.”

“TO ANYONE OUT THERE WHO THINKS THEY CAN GET AWAY BY STEALING FROM THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY AMERICAN PATIENTS, I’VE GOT A BIT OF ADVICE FOR YOU: DO NOT WALK AWAY FROM THIS PRESS CONFERENCE. DON’T WALK AWAY FROM US. YOU START RUNNING BECAUSE THE VICE PRESIDENT AND THIS TASK FORCE ARE COMING AFTER YOU.”

Oz issued that direct warning to fraudsters during the Milwaukee press conference.

In May, the Justice Department charged 15 individuals in Minnesota, uncovering more than $90 million in alleged fraudulent claims tied to multiple state-funded assistance programs.

The task force and DOJ announced a massive takedown of two of the largest Medicaid fraud cases in Minnesota state history, as well as the largest autism fraud scheme ever charged by the federal government.

“Our message is simple: if you’re committing fraud, we will find you, and we won’t rest until justice is served,” Vance said on X at the time.

President Donald Trump established the anti-fraud task force through an executive order in May, appointing Vance to lead the effort. A number of agencies and departments have joined the crackdown on fraud across the country.

“Vice President JD Vance and Republicans are doing a great job hunting down Fraud in the various States,” Trump posted on Truth Social in June. “Billions of Dollars is being found, and we’ve just started!”

A Belgian-Brazilian conglomerate controls nearly half the American beer market—and a new watchdog report warns that foreign stranglehold is crushing small brewers across the heartland.

The report from Consumer Action for a Strong Economy obtained exclusively by the Daily Caller exposes how Anheuser-Busch InBev—the world’s largest brewer—uses its massive lobbying and advertising machine to dominate the U.S. market while hiding behind “Made in America” marketing campaigns.

InBev bought the iconic American company Anheuser-Busch for $52 billion in 2008. The conglomerate is now headquartered in Belgium, not middle America—despite what their ads claim.

“AB InBev controls nearly half of the domestic beer market. Let that sink in. A foreign company controls half the US beer market.”

The watchdog group points to InBev’s sophisticated lobbying operation and the company’s rebranding efforts after the Bud Light boycott triggered by transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

According to the report, InBev’s “Choose Beer Grown Here” and “Made of America” campaigns launched in the aftermath of the Mulvaney debacle have largely obscured the fact that the company’s corporate headquarters are in Leuven, Belgium.

The report also highlights InBev’s 2013 settlement with the Department of Justice over its purchase of Mexican beer manufacturer Grupo Modelo. The DOJ allowed the $20 billion deal to proceed but required InBev to sell U.S. rights for Modelo beer to Constellation Brands to prevent a monopoly.

That settlement helped the craft beer industry explode from 4,803 domestic small brewers in 2015 to 9,578 in 2025—but the watchdog says it never addressed structural concerns over product distribution.

InBev allegedly incentivizes major distributors to prioritize its products, leaving independent brewers struggling to find reliable distribution channels. Small brewers are also disadvantaged in states where self-distribution is illegal.

“While the DOJ agreement was good for craft brewers in the sense that a more concentrated market would have been worse for them, it wasn’t designed to help them directly, and the pervasive distribution problems that matter most to small brewers were left mostly unchanged.”

The report warns that InBev is lobbying U.S. states to repeal sales taxes on its products—and will likely push for the same at the federal level as President Trump renegotiates the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement.

A gigantic tax break for “American beer” would deliver nearly half its benefit to the foreign conglomerate. When Canadian trade tensions flared after Trump’s tariff announcements, InBev ran a “Made in Canada” ad campaign celebrating its Canadian workers and Canadian barley.

The watchdog calls on U.S. policymakers to address InBev’s unfair distribution practices, push back against further tax breaks, and prevent the company from achieving monopoly power.

InBev has drawn scrutiny from Congress and the Treasury Department over its dominance. During a 2015 Senate hearing on the company’s $107 billion merger with SABMiller, Democratic Connecticut Sen. Richard Blumenthal said the trend towards massive beer behemoths has not been “a happy one for many consumers.”

After the 2008 merger between Anheuser-Busch and InBev, thousands of workers were laid off in St. Louis, Missouri, where the brewery was originally founded in 1852. The merger led to cost-cutting that decimated local ad agencies when InBev moved the marketing department to New York City.

The report concludes that as Americans prepare to celebrate the nation’s 250th anniversary, the last thing policymakers should be doing is rewarding a foreign conglomerate that doesn’t play by the rules with a giant tax break.

Former CIA Director John Brennan filed suit Tuesday demanding the Trump administration preserve records related to investigations targeting him — admitting the documents could be critical when prosecutors bring criminal charges.

The lawsuit reveals Brennan knows he’s under federal investigation.

Filed in federal court in Washington, the complaint alleges the administration has abandoned longstanding records retention practices. Brennan’s attorneys claim he’s being probed for what they called “phantom criminal conduct.”

“Given the government’s questionable recent history with respect to its record preservation and other legal obligations, however, Director Brennan has a well-founded concern that those records and communications will not be preserved until such time as the court can review them for evidence of unconstitutional vindictiveness.”

The 46-page filing accuses the Justice Department of demonstrating “a consistent pattern of irregular conduct in this and other retribution cases.”

Brennan’s legal team contends the investigation is Trump targeting a political opponent. The former CIA director has been a vocal Trump critic since the president first entered politics.

A source close to Brennan told Axios the former intelligence chief intends to fight any criminal charges that emerge from the probe.

“Since President Trump first entered politics, he has repeatedly singled out Director Brennan for criticism, and we believe these investigations are the latest effort to retaliate against him for his lawful conduct as CIA Director and his constitutionally protected speech,” the source said.

“If an indictment is ever returned, Director Brennan will vigorously challenge it as the product of vindictive and selective prosecution. Today’s filing seeks only to ensure that the Government preserves the evidence that will be necessary for the courts to evaluate Director Brennan’s constitutional claims.”

The Justice Department declined to confirm whether Brennan is under investigation — but the response was pointed.

“While we cannot comment on the existence, or lack thereof, of an investigation, it is certainly rich that John Brennan is accusing anyone of a ‘retribution campaign.'”

Brennan’s attorneys cited several recent Trump administration legal actions as justification for the preservation order, including subpoenas issued to former Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell and an investigation involving Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.

The complaint is available in full here.

More than 80 pro-life organizations are demanding the Department of Justice settle a federal case that could halt mail-order abortion drugs after a U.S. Army captain was sentenced to 12 years in prison for using the drugs to poison a female soldier and their unborn baby.

Captain Brandon Jones-Adams obtained abortion drugs online using a fake name and credit card, then used them to poison the mother of his child. The junior officer experienced severe cramping and was rushed to the emergency room, where the couple’s 13-week-old baby died. Jones-Adams later confessed and was sentenced to prison for the crime.

The case is the latest in a pattern of men exploiting lax mail-order regulations to coerce women into abortions.

“IF MAIL-ORDER ABORTION WASN’T A THING, I’M 100% SURE I WOULD HAVE MY CHILD.”

Rosalie Markezich, one of the plaintiffs in the ongoing Louisiana v. FDA case, discovered the dangers firsthand when her boyfriend used her information to order the pills through the mail. Trapped in a car with him and isolated from help, Markezich was forced to swallow the drugs under threats. She suffered extreme physical side effects and lost her baby.

“If mail-order abortion wasn’t a thing,” she testified, “I’m 100% sure I would have my child.”

An Ohio doctor reportedly used his ex-wife’s information to purchase Mifepristone after discovering his girlfriend Jona Affholder was pregnant. Affholder previously told the Daily Wire he poisoned her with the drugs, causing her to hemorrhage severely. Their baby died.

A Texas attorney named Mason Herring repeatedly mixed abortion drugs into his wife’s drinks. Catherine Herring only discovered the betrayal after experiencing extreme side effects alone on the bathroom floor.

Men of all backgrounds — teenagers, doctors, lawyers, and military officers — are exploiting the system to abuse women and end pregnancies without meaningful oversight or even photo ID requirements.

A recent investigation by board-certified OB/GYN Dr. Christina Francis found that online abortion businesses don’t require any proof the person purchasing is an adult woman. An online site let Dr. Francis order Mifepristone after claiming she was a minor with a history of ectopic pregnancies and far past the FDA’s recommended gestational window. The site accepted her payment with no further questions.

Women once had to be screened in person for coercion or life-threatening complications before acquiring these drugs. But in 2020, the Biden administration revoked this safeguard to promote more abortions during the COVID-19 pandemic.

A 2023 study found that 45% of women with a history of abortion confirmed their abortions were “inconsistent with [their] preferences,” and an additional 25% said their abortions were unwanted or coerced. That number has likely increased as mail-order abortion rates continue rising.

New studies found abortion drugs have a “serious adverse event” rate that is 22 times higher than the FDA suggests. 75% of ER visits within 30 days after taking abortion drugs were coded as “severe” or “critical.”

Just last week, more than 80 pro-life organizations and leaders urged Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche to resolve Louisiana v. FDA through a court-approved consent decree that would immediately halt the mailing of abortion drugs while the FDA completes its review of Mifepristone’s safety.

The case involves the Trump administration fighting Louisiana’s attempt to defend its borders against mailed abortion drugs from blue states. Only the complete removal of these drugs from the mail will shut down the dangerous system set up during the COVID-19 era, the organizations argue.

Pro-life leaders say restoring meaningful safeguards against coercion is urgent as the case plays out in court.

An illegal immigrant from Honduras has been sentenced to eight years in federal prison for orchestrating an $89 million payroll fraud scheme that enabled the illegal employment of unauthorized construction workers while evading taxes.

The Justice Department announced Mario Flores pleaded guilty to conspiracy to defraud the U.S. government and conspiracy to operate an unlicensed money transmitting business.

Federal officials said Flores and his co-conspirators operated a network of shell companies between 2015 and 2022 to run an unlicensed check-cashing and cash courier business.

“This case exposes how unchecked illegal immigration fuels widespread payroll tax fraud and underground economies that harm American workers and taxpayers.”

According to court documents, the shell companies cashed approximately $89 million in checks from construction subcontractors, charging a fee based on the value of each transaction.

Prosecutors said the arrangement allowed contractors and subcontractors to pay workers in cash without withholding or paying required payroll taxes — enabling them to employ workers without regard to their legal authorization to work in the United States.

Authorities also alleged Flores caused false tax documents to be filed with the IRS to conceal the operation.

The Justice Department said the scheme resulted in more than $38 million in losses to American taxpayers.

“Today, we held an illegal alien from Honduras accountable for a brazen scheme that stole more than $38 million from American taxpayers to facilitate the employment of illegal aliens,” Assistant Attorney General Colin McDonald said.

McDonald added the sentence “sends a strong message: Those who exploit our open borders, cheat the U.S. Treasury, and violate federal laws will face justice.”

Federal officials also alleged that Flores and his associates defrauded workers’ compensation insurance companies by leasing insurance certificates to contractors and providing false information about the number of covered workers and their wages.

John Condon of Homeland Security Investigations said the agency remains committed to pursuing large-scale employment and tax fraud schemes.

“Homeland Security Investigations is committed to protecting the integrity of our financial system and enforcing our nation’s laws,” Condon said. “Those who orchestrate large-scale payroll tax fraud and facilitate the illegal employment of unauthorized workers will be held accountable.”

According to the Justice Department, Flores’s co-conspirators — Iris Villafranca, Osman Zapata and Francisco Alvarez — were previously sentenced to prison terms ranging from four to 17 years.

President Donald Trump ordered the Department of Justice to investigate oil companies for allegedly gouging consumers at the pump even as crude oil prices plunge.

Trump accused major oil companies of refusing to pass savings on to drivers, even though the oil they’re purchasing has dropped dramatically in price.

“The big Oil Companies are not dropping their price at the pump commensurate with the sharply lower prices they are paying for Oil. Those prices are dropping like a rock! In other words, customers are being ‘gouged.’ I have instructed the DOJ to immediately start looking into this. Gasoline prices better start going down a lot faster than what I’m seeing!”

The president issued the rebuke in a Truth Social post shortly after midnight Wednesday.

Crude oil prices soared after the United States launched Operation Epic Fury against Iran on February 28. Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz during the conflict — the world’s most critical energy chokepoint, where 25% of global seaborne oil trade passes through — triggering economic shockwaves.

U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude hit $119.47 per barrel on March 9. Brent Crude reached $126.41 on April 30, the highest price in over four years.

Oil prices have since dropped amid rumors of a peace deal between the U.S. and Iran. Crude hit a three-month low earlier in June after Trump announced an agreement had been reached.

As of early Wednesday, Brent Crude was priced at $76.22 per barrel while WTI oil was at $72.28 per barrel.

Gas prices nationwide have steadily declined over the last month, corresponding with falling oil prices and peace rumors. As of June 23, the national average for a gallon of regular gas was $3.926, down from $4.529 a month ago.

Trump is now demanding oil companies pass those savings on to consumers — or face DOJ scrutiny.

The Department of Justice charged 15 anti-ICE militants allegedly tied to Antifa groups in Minnesota with conspiracy to impede federal officers and violent obstruction of immigration enforcement.

Minnesota U.S. Attorney Daniel Rosen announced the charges Tuesday, confirming that 13 of the 15 defendants are already in custody. The charges include interfering with federal agents, stalking, assault, and threatening officers.

“Such stalking and other direct actions against law enforcement are criminal. They’re un-American, and they’ll be met with swift justice. To those who choose to threaten or harm federal officers, we will hold you accountable.”

Rosen accused the militants of training members in the “aggressive use of shields against law enforcement, surveillance, operational planning, and rapid mobilization against law enforcement actions.”

All defendants were allegedly associated with Direct Action Minnesota (DAMN), previously known as Twin Cities Direct Action. The unsealed indictment describes DAMN as “dedicated and committed to direct action against federal law and immigration enforcement,” using “disruptive and obstructive tactics” to “forcibly challenge, block, or stop immigration raids, detentions, and deportations.”

The indictment identifies DAMN as made up of “sub-groups” including the Black Cat Worker’s Collective — whose members “advocate, promote, and utilize militant tactics and violence” — and the Ray Rainbolt Memorial Shooting Club, which promotes “community self-defense.” Both are identified as “Antifa affinity groups” based in Minneapolis.

DAMN members allegedly used a Signal group chat that logs identifying information of federal immigration enforcement vehicles, enabling them to track officers throughout the city and place militants in their path.

Once someone relays information about a federal immigration or law enforcement officer’s location, “dispatchers” relay “verified” information to “commuters,” who deploy to the identified area to interfere with, prevent, hinder, delay, impede, and directly confront federal immigration enforcement, including “de-arresting” people that federal law enforcement have arrested.

The indictment details how “commuters” follow federal immigration enforcement officers from locations to the officers’ residences and other locations, often working with “co-pilots” who communicate with dispatchers in real-time.

The charges remain allegations. The case has not been proven in court.

The indictments follow the far left’s violent response to Operation Metro Surge, the mass deportation operation in the Twin Cities over the winter, where federal officers were met with militants acting to thwart lawful operations and Democrat politicians who encouraged violence against them.
