Former President Donald Trump announced that he received a target letter about the January 6 investigation of Special Counsel Jack Smith.
Smith’s letter highly recommends that Trump is going to face another indictment in the relentless witch hunt versus him.
Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) is among Trump’s fiercest advocates in Congress and he sprung into action after the statement.
The conservative firebrand revealed that he was going to utilize the House’s power of the handbag to defund the unique counsel investigation.
“I will be presenting legislation to DEFUND Jack Smith’s witch hunt versus President Trump,” Gaetz stated on social networks. “They are assaulting our democracy and engaging in election disturbance right now. The United States Congress has the ability to stop this election interference, and we need to act immediately!”

Trump remains in a strong position to defeat President Joe Biden next and return to the White House.
Smith is increase his investigation to derail the previous President’s campaign.
Gaetz swore that he would present it as a “free-standing bill” that would not have to wait on the usual appropriation process.
He accused the Justice Department of ducking his transparency efforts to find out who is working on Smith’s legal group.
Gaetz serves on the powerful House Judiciary Committee with Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH).
Jordan has threatened to cut financing for the Justice Department after the “weaponization” of that firm.
Gaetz confessed that the expense would deal with an uphill struggle in the Senate but the fight had value since it could get Congressmen and Senators on record on the concern.
He said he was “under no impressions about Joe Biden signing such a legislative device into law. I understand that [Senate Majority Leader] Chuck Schumer would never ever bring such a thing up [for a vote], however you deserve to know where your members of Congress are counted. Will they co-sponsor my legislation? I certainly hope they will.”
