Democrats definitely loathe Donald Trump and the populist America First movement.

One sinister plan against the previous President is scrambling political alliances.

And Donald Trump was blindsided when the last group he ever expected came to his help.

Former President Donald Trump was hit with a minimal gag order by District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan in the case involving his supposed function in somehow managing the events of January 6.

The gag order prevents the previous President from publicly talking about Unique Counsel Jack Smith, Judge Chutkan, witnesses, and court personnel.

This is an underhanded effort to overturn Trump’s civil liberties to keep him from talking about the case openly on the campaign trail.

Trump’s legal team is challenging the gag order and received assistance from the most not likely of sources.

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) filed a friend-of-the-court quick in support of overturning Trump’s gag order, rightly explaining that it’s a violation of his First Amendment rights.

The woke extremist ACLU was a regular enemy of the previous President, submitting more than 400 lawsuits against his administration in court.

The brief argues that the gag order is excessively broad and touches on subjects that pertain to the 2024 Presidential election.

“Much that he has said has been patently incorrect and has actually caused great harm to countless people, as well as to the Republic itself. A few of his words and actions have actually led him to this criminal indictment, which alleges serious wrongdoing in contempt of the peaceful shift of power,” the ACLU brief stated. “But Trump keeps a Very first Change right to speak, and the rest people maintain a right to hear what he has to state.”

The ACLU stated that the gag order is “unconstitutionally unclear,” which illegally limits Trump’s speech.

“Checking out the order, Offender can not potentially understand what he is allowed to state, and what he is not,” the ACLU wrote. “In the context of the order, it could imply something as innocuous as ‘name’ or ‘identify,’ or something a lot more violent.”

The short singled out the constraint on Trump’s ability to talk about Jack Smith.

“Attempts to gag speech that deals with how the Special Counsel is conducting his work, on the premises of guaranteeing the appropriate and impartial administration of justice, unduly weaken public discussion on matters of public issue that is at the heart of what the First Amendment secures,” the ACLU included.

The ACLU said that the short wasn’t about Trump however about safeguarding the principle of totally free speech.

Donald Trump is discovering unlikely allies as he fights Judge Tanya Chutkan’s unconstitutional plan to silence him.
