COVER-UP? White House ADMITS They Doctored Biden’s Special Counsel Interview Transcript

In a just-released bombshell court filing, the White House admitted to editing Joe Biden’s interview with Special Counsel Robert Hur in order to present him as being more mentally competent.

Biden’s interview with Hur was conducted as part of the Special Counsel’s investigation into his mishandling of classified documents.

As you probably remember, when the Hur report dropped back in February, it found that Biden did, indeed, mishandle classified docs but Hur concluded that he was too mentally unfit to be charged for the crime.

It also noted that Biden exhibited several odd speaking patterns, including making “car noises” in the interview.

Since then, Republicans have pushed for the audio of Biden’s Special Counsel interview to be released, but Biden has cited executive privilege to prevent the audio from becoming public.

From The National Review:

President Joe Biden is asserting executive privilege to block House Republicans from receiving the audio from his two-day interview with special counsel Robert Hur, which was part of the investigation into Biden’s mishandling of classified documents and raised questions about the 81-year-old’s mental faculties.

White House counsel Edward Siskel wrote a letter to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R., Ohio.) and House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R., Ky.) on Thursday informing them of the decision to invoke executive privilege.

“The absence of a legitimate need for the audio recordings lays bare your likely goal—to chop them up, distort them, and use them for partisan political purposes,” he added, echoing the Justice Department’s assertions in its two previous rejections of House Republicans’ demand for the audio.

But, that didn’t stop the White House from letting it slip that transcripts of the interview have been doctored to remove slurred words, “filler words” and repetitions.

Take a look at the court filing posted by the Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project on X:

Recently, the DOJ has cited fears of “deepfakes” as the reason why they can’t release the audio.

From Fox News:

The Justice Department cannot release audio from President Biden’s interview with Special Counsel Robert Hur due to the threat of potential deepfakes, the DOJ argued in a Friday court filing.

The filing came as part of a legal challenge against Biden’s efforts to exercise executive privilege over the recording to keep it from the public. The DOJ acknowledged in its Friday filing that there is already enough public audio available to create AI deepfakes of both Biden and Hur, but it said releasing the true recording would make it more difficult to disprove any false versions.

Associate Deputy Attorney General Bradley Weinsheimer wrote in the filing that releasing the tape would “make it far more likely that malicious actors could pass off a deepfake as the authentic recording.”

Biden’s administration is facing a myriad of efforts from conservative legal groups and House Republicans to force the release of the audio. The DOJ has already released a transcript of the interview, which revealed multiple embarrassing moments for the president.

What do you think?

Should the White House be forced to release the audio in its entirety?
