“Time” Magazine is under fire from both sides of the political spectrum over a glowing profile of Vice-President Harris that was released despite Harris’ decision to decline an interview with the outlet.

The new cover features a portrait of Harris done in a style reminiscent of the Obama campaign’s famous “Hope and Change” posters from 2008. Titled “The Re-Introduction of Kamala Harris,” the cover is complete with a caption reading “Her Moment” in the bottom right-hand corner.

The magazine opted to release the title despite the fact that Harris declined an interview with the outlet. As of this report, Harris has gone 22 days without sitting for a formal interview or hosting a press conference after she received the Democrat Party nomination for president without receiving a single primary vote.

“Harris has yet to do a single substantive interview or to explain her policy shifts. (Her campaign denied a request for an interview for this story),” the outlet wrote in a brief note.

Much of the piece read as a fawning endorsement of Harris and compared the atmosphere at her campaign events to that of a Taylor Swift concert. The Harris Campaign has invited several artists, including Megan Thee Stallion and Bon Iver, to perform free concerts ahead of her rallies.

In some instances, “rally goers” have been seen exiting the event venue as soon as the free concert concludes.

The magazine also quoted several high-profile Democrats, who provided their own glowing endorsements of Harris. “To consolidate the Democratic Party in a matter of hours, to do as many visible events and establish that presence without putting a foot wrong, is a feat,” said Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.

“I don’t think anybody expected her to be so flawless,” he added.

The new cover generated largely negative reactions on X, as many political commentators compared the glowing story to state-run media.

“The way the US corporate media transformed Kamala Harris from a national embarrassment to a transformative pioneer overnight — without even pretending to care about anything that she thinks or believes — is a powerful testament to how potent the science of propaganda is,” wrote veteran journalist Glenn Greenwald.

“The corporate media’s mission, as they see it, is to help Kamala win, not denounce her for refusing to sit down in interviews and explain what she thinks about anything or why,” he continued. “Even though she told TIME to f off, they still published hagiography of her.”

Economic news account “Geiger Capital” compared the cover to “North Korea-level worshipping.”

“The way the US corporate media has tried to transform Kamala Harris from a consensus joke to a historic leader in a matter of weeks, without even pretending to care about her policies or ideas, shows how blatant US propaganda has become,” they wrote.

The new issue is set to release in full on August 26.

A glowing Time cover featuring former President Donald Trump following an assassination attempt is hitting newsstands around the world this week.

The feature article, titled “Attack on Trump,” is prefaced by a historic photo of the Republican leader raising his fist high as blood stains his face near where a high-caliber bullet struck his ear on Saturday. Video from multiple angles shows Secret Service agents responding with weapons drawn and tackling him to the ground while snipers on adjacent rooftops took out the shooter. Before being led off stage, Trump yelled “Fight!” multiple times while pumping his fist, prompting chants of “USA!” from the audience.

Investigators are still probing for a motive behind the assassination attempt by 20-year-old Thomas Crooks who was shot and killed after firing eight rounds from an AR-15 rifle. Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle defended a decision to not place an agent on the roof where Crooks stood and on Thursday was confronted by an angry group of Republican senators who promised to interrogate her for the catastrophic security failure. Despite being a registered Republican, those who knew Crooks say he was politically agnostic about both major parties.

In addition to receiving an outpouring of sympathy from Americans and most major Democrats including President Joe Biden, President Trump is also benefitting politically. On Thursday Emerson College released the first post-shooting poll results showing Trump gaining ground in nine key swing states, some of which went for Biden by more than 10% four years ago. He also leads the Democratic incumbent by 6% nationally.

Axios reported that insiders believe President Biden may announce the end of his reelection bid as soon as this weekend, shortly after he recovers from a recent Covid infection. Top allies including former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), and even former President Barack Obama have all privately encouraged Biden to step aside or remained silent after being warned that their friends were about to do the same.

President Biden’s post-debate woes continued on Friday afternoon when Time Magazine released a devastating cover.

The new cover took night of widespread Democrat concern over Biden’s debate performance that included multiple freeze-ups and inaudible statements. It features a picture of President Biden wandering off to the side — as if he is walking off the stage — with only the word “Panic” in the title.

“Panic” was the exact word used by many Democrat strategists, pundits and voters in the immediate aftermath of Thursday night’s debate.

MSNBC’s Joy Reid told her fellow panelists that her phone was blowing up from Democrats expressing “panic” over the debate. “I too was on the phone throughout much of the debate with Obama world people with Democrats, with people who are political operatives, with campaign operatives, my phone really never stopped buzzing throughout. And the universal reaction was somewhere approaching panic,” she said.

“The people who were texting with me were very concerned about President Biden seeming extremely feeble, seeming extremely weak.”

Reid stressed that the panic was not coming from everyday Democrat voters, but from veteran campaign strategists and “Obama world” White House officials.

CNN’s John King used similar words to describe what he was hearing from Democrat insiders and elected officials, many of whom are reportedly mulling the possibility of forcing Biden to step down.

“Minutes into the debate — and it continues right now — it involves party strategists, involves elected officials, it involves fundraisers, and they’re having conversations about the president’s performance, which they think was dismal, which they think will hurt other people down the party in the ticket, and having conversations about what they should do about it,” King reported.

“Some of those conversations include whether we should go to the White House and ask the president to step aside,” King continued.

Despite the concern, President Biden has vowed to stay in the race and has even doubled down on his commitment to the next presidential debate, which is scheduled for September. High-profile candidates who have long been floated as a potential replacement for the president — including California Governor Gavin Newsom and Vice President Kamala Harris — have likewise thrown cold water on the idea.
