Linda Mathis has filed for divorce from her husband, TV judge Greg Mathis, after nearly four decades together. The divorce documents, which were obtained by TMZ, revealed that Linda listed July 17 as the date of separation and cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. The filing occurred on Thursday.

Since all four of their children are adults, the proceedings will not involve discussions of custody or child support. Judge Mathis is also a grandfather. Additionally, Linda is seeking spousal support and has requested that the court prevent Judge Mathis from receiving any. It is not yet clear whether there is a prenuptial agreement in place.

Greg Mathis, famously known as Judge Mathis, rose to prominence with his long-running reality courtroom show, “Judge Mathis.” His story is as inspiring as it is influential.
