Not all liberals are standing stoutly behind Vice President Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign. While the mainstream media has been reliably noting that Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (D-NY), and other progressive darlings have praised the veep, left unsaid is the recent repeal of a Harris endorsement by one of the country’s most influential anti-Israel collectives.

The Uncommitted National Movement, which advocates for Palestinians and a cease-fire with Hamas, highlighted on X an announcement by a coalition of Muslim women for the Harris-Walz ticket pulling its support. Muslim Women for Harris-Walz has no direct affiliation with the campaign but until now had held out hope that the Democrat’s team would invite a Palestinian speaker to address the Democratic National Convention where thousands of protestors have gathered in Chicago. The decision to disband, the group said, came after receiving word that the Democratic Party was denying its request.

“We cannot in good conscience, continue Muslim Women for Harris-Walz, in light of this new information from the Uncommitted movement, that VP Harris’ team declined their request to have a Palestinian American speaker take the stage at the DNC,” read the statement on X. “The family of the Israeli Hostage that was on the stage tonight, has shown more empathy toward Palestinian Americans and Palestinians, than our own candidate or the DNC has. This is a terrible message to send to Democrats. Palestinians have the right to speak about Palestine. We pray that the DNC and VP Harris’ team makes (sic) the right decision before this convention is over. For the sake of each of us.”

The move is a blow to Harris’s hopes that she can deftly stitch back together a fraying coalition of progressive Jews and pro-Palestinians who have for decades existed within the Democratic Party. Hamas’ October 7th attack killing 1,400 Jews and taking hundreds hostage tore open the divide and brought back to the forefront a discussion about where and when is appropriate to advocate for Palestinians in light of the terrorist group’s action. Israeli counterstrikes, including some that have killed thousands of Gazans, have catalyzed a series of anti-Israel protests on college campuses this year as well as this week outside of the DNC.

During the Democratic state primary elections, the Uncommitted movement garnered as much as 15% of Democratic voters who opted against nominating President Joe Biden for a second term in some states. The protest vote reflected deep dissatisfaction with his continued support for arming Israel in its war, especially among younger, more progressive voters. After a tumultuous first day of protests which saw rioters break down a gate and flood into secured areas, DNC protestors remained generally peaceful by the third night. Still, their influence on the ticket has been felt; critics noted that Pennsylvania Gov. Joshua Shapiro, a devout Jew, was most likely removed from the search for a running mate due to fears that he would provoke further anger among pro-Palestinian coalitions.

By late Wednesday evening, Lindell updated his followers, saying that he obtained “hours and hours of interviews” but ultimately saw his cover blown after he focused on election fraud, a topic he has long asserted contributed to former President Donald Trump’s 2020 loss. “I’ve been talking to people. They did realize who I was when I talking, but at least we got in and got the word out,” he said as part of a promotion for his latest venture, www.LindellPlan.com, which he states is dedicated to implementing election-related security measures at the polls this year. Central to his strategy, he tells viewers, is asking them to hold on to their mail-in ballots if one was requested, and “if your election clerk says you’ve already voted, pull out that ballot and say no, I have not,” he says into the camera.

Lindell promised to be back at the DNC on Thursday for another infiltration attempt. “Tomorrow we’re gonna have over 100 Democrats that voted for Biden and they’re now voting for Donald Trump, and we’re gonna ask them why did they change their mind,” a conversation Lindell said can be viewed at his website www.FrankSpeech.com.

Lindell was an integral member of President Trump’s circle in the days following the 2020 election. He frequently visited the White House on a whim, showing the president supposed evidence that deceased people were being counted as having voted in contested states like Arizona and Georgia which Biden narrowly won. Ultimately Lindell’s position contributed to President Trump forging ahead with dozens of legal challenges across battleground states, most of which failed in court. He contends that the 2020 election was stolen and suggested to supporters that Democrats are trying to stage a “coup” with the nomination of Harris this week.

A leading reporter at PBS is backtracking on previous remarks where she told a live audience that former President Donald Trump was hoping to see the war between Israel and Hamas continue to benefit his campaign.

Judy Woodruff, a senior correspondent with experience at the network as far back as 1983, should have known better when she accused President Trump of encouraging Israel to back out of a tentative cease-fire agreement with Hamas. The remark was made before an audience and panel of guests earlier this week while covering the Democratic National Convention. On the Monday episode, Woodruff told her colleagues, “The reporting is that former President Trump is on the phone with the prime minister of Israel, urging him not to cut a deal right now, because it’s believed that would help the Harris campaign. Who knows whether that will come about or not, but I have to think that the Harris campaign would like for President Biden to do what presidents do, which is work on that one.”

Woodruff admitted her mistake but stated she was merely “clarifying” her remark after reading a series of flimsy reporting on an alleged conversation that Trump recently had, according to the New York Post. Critics online faulted the senior reporter for failing to fact-check the claim which had been debunked days earlier. Further, her clarification did not come on-air, but on X. “I want to clarify my remarks on the PBS News special on Monday night about the ongoing cease fire talks in the Middle East. As I said, this was not based on my original reporting; I was referring to reports I had read, in Axios and Reuters, about former President Trump having spoken to the Israeli Prime Minister. In the live TV moment, I repeated the story because I hadn’t seen later reporting that both sides denied it. This was a mistake and I apologize for it,” Woodruff wrote on Wednesday afternoon.

The office of Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pushed back forcefully in response to Woodruff’s original claim, calling it a “complete lie,” in response to questions from the Jerusalem Post. Woodruff’s statement was based on a report by Axios dated August 14th citing two sources claiming Trump and Netanyahu recently spoke and broached the idea of delaying or indefinitely pausing cease-fire talks until after the election. Reuters shared the story on its site but did not include the claim that Trump encouraged Netanyahu to walk away from the bargaining table. Netanyahu’s office issued a blanket denial one day later, and both outlets reported on the denial four days before Woodruff repeated the original reports. PBS declined a request for comment from the Post.

President Trump maintained that he spoke with Netanyahu but encouraged him to come to a fair deal with Hamas and criticized the current terms under discussion. “He knows what he’s doing, I did encourage him to get this over with,” Trump said, the outlet reported. “It has to get over with fast — get your victory, and get it over with. At the Democratic National Convention, delegates took part in a symbolic roll call vote, echoing their earlier decision to nominate Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democrat presidential candidate. However, some DNC delegates have expressed their hesitations about casting their vote for Harris, as they remain uncommitted until their concerns regarding Gaza are addressed.

The vote, merely a formality following a virtual nomination earlier this month, saw 44 delegates choose to vote “present,” a Daily Caller review reported.

The “uncommitted” trend began with February’s Listen to Michigan campaign, a grassroots initiative that rallied voters to make protest votes during the state’s primary. Surpassing expectations, the campaign secured more than 13 percent of the vote. Building on this momentum, the movement spread nationally, prompting voters in liberal states like Hawaii, Washington, and Minnesota to cast enough “uncommitted” ballots to send similarly minded delegates to the convention.

Members of the pro-Palestinian ‘uncommitted’ movement gathered for a rally at a park near the DNC, pushing for the inclusion of a Palestinian-American speaker at the Democratic convention. At the rally on Wednesday, they amplified their calls for Democrat leaders to intensify efforts to end the conflict in Gaza.

“We supply these weapons, so if you really wanted a ceasefire, just stop sending the weapons,” Democratic U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) said to supporters of the cause on Wednesday. “It’s that simple.”

According to The Seattle Times, some members of the Uncommitted movement, including Washington state’s Yaz Kader and Sabrene Odeh, are officially uncommitted delegates. Both chose to vote “present” during the virtual roll call earlier in August as part of a strategic effort to pressure Harris to endorse a ceasefire and support an embargo on U.S. weapons to Israel.

“I entered my vote on behalf of a 10-year-old who was bombed and killed on her 10th birthday,” said Odeh.

During the second night of the DNC in Chicago, more than a dozen pro-Palestinian demonstrators were arrested following a protest that started outside the Israeli consulate and extended onto nearby streets. The demonstration was winding down when Chicago police handcuffed several participants. Despite this, the remaining protesters continued to chant, calling for an end to the war in Gaza as the convention activities proceeded.

Tonight’s DNC will spotlight Governor Tim Walz (D-MN), the vice-presidential nominee, as he delivers the keynote address. This marks a significant step in introducing him as Harris’ running mate. The convention will also feature prominent figures such as former President Bill Clinton and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA). A key topic of discussion will be the January 6 breach. On the GOP side, independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. plans to suspend his campaign this Friday, according to reports. Not every Democrat appears to be on board with the coronation of Vice President Kamala Harris at this week’s Democratic National Convention.

The party’s convention kicks off Monday night as attendees give a “hero’s sendoff” to President Joe Biden, Politico reported, but Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) won’t be among them. The freshman Democrat recently declared that he is skipping the Chicago convention due to family commitments and maintained that it has nothing to do with what he sees as an increasingly influential anti-Israel wing of his party which recently forced the Harris campaign to opt out of selecting his state’s Jewish Gov. Joshua Shapiro as her running mate. Although the two are bitter adversaries, Sen. Fetterman still believes that the Democratic Party is adrift from its moors by letting young Palestinian agitators bully Jewish voices out of leadership positions in the party.

“I’ve got three young kids, and they’re out of school,” the 55-year-old told The Free Press about his decision to avoid this week’s convention. “That’s four days I can spend with my children.” The decision, he added, “was made well before that debate,” referring to the June 27th showdown between Biden and former President Donald Trump that led to the eventual end of the Biden reelection campaign. Biden, who has mostly supported Israel’s continual requests for arms in its war with Hamas, contrasted markedly from Harris, who instead appears more sympathetic to far-left party activists she needs to shore up in a close race against President Trump. That grinds on Fetterman, who espoused steadfast support for Jewish hostages taken during the October 7th, 2023 terrorist attack by Hamas.

“I forcefully condemn these cowardly, horrifying, unprovoked attacks on Israel by Hamas. Attacking innocent civilians is particularly despicable and reflects the craven behavior of this terrorist group. I unequivocally stand with the people of Israel now, and always,” the Pennsylvania senator wrote on X following the attack. Asked by The Free Press if he ever feels “lonely” as a pro-Israel voice in the U.S. Senate, Fetterman laughed, replying, “Well, I mean, it’s, it’s”—uneasy laughter—“I keep saying, just like the convention, it’s not about me.”

Since turning on the progressive left, Fetterman has provoked fierce backlash from “Squad” members like Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (D-NY) who said in a recent interview, “A lot of folks don’t recognize John Fetterman these days.” The Patriot-News, a Harrisburg paper, recently published an op-ed titled “I wish I had never voted for you.” The shift mirrored how Sen. Fetterman has referred to himself since landing statement positions. During his unsuccessful first run for Senate in 2016, the lieutenant governor described himself as a “progressive champion.” These days, his social media posts read, “I’m not a progressive, I’m just a regular Democrat.” Former staff members have distanced themselves from the boss they helped elect on a promise to bring progressive values to the Rust Belt.

“I don’t agree with him” on the Israel-Hamas war, admitted current communications director Carrie Adams in a recent interview. “I have a sense that his international views are a lot less nuanced than my generation, because when he was growing up, it was might makes right, and for my generation and younger who, of course, are the ones protesting this, they have a much more nuanced view of the region,” Adams added.

The criticism doesn’t seem to bother the first-term senator. “I’ve been frustrated by some of my members and how they’ve chosen to handle that situation,” Fetterman said about his colleagues without naming names. “I don’t agree with a lot of their views, but whatever kinds of political choices or any kind of political costs that I’ve incurred throughout all that, I don’t care. I haven’t once even regretted any of that.”

Far-left agitators at Vice President Kamala Harris’s rally on Wednesday night disrupted the festivities with chants and heckling, forcing the presidential nominee to shout them down. The incident interrupting the rally served as another reminder to Democrats that they have a long way to go if Harris is to unite liberals ahead of November.

Harris, speaking inside an airport hanger in Detroit, Michigan, attempted to soldier on through an onslaught of catcalling over the Biden administration’s support for Israel. Video of the interruption appeared to show dozens or more in the crowd repeating a familiar line: “Kamala, Kamala, you can’t hide. We won’t vote for genocide.” At first, she attempted to speak over the ruckus and direct their anger toward the Trump-Vance ticket.

As the volume of their displeasure grew, it became increasingly clear that the protestors were getting under Harris’s skin. Former President Donald Trump, she said, would “give tax breaks to billionaires and big corporations,” allow global warming to continue unabated, and eliminate the Affordable Care Act, familiar lines that didn’t soothe the crowd’s unrest. Finally, she raised her hand to clap back. “You know what? If you want Donald Trump to win, then say that. Otherwise I’m speaking,” she yelled at the hecklers. Supporters in the crowd cheered in response.

She continued, “I’m here because we believe in democracy. Everyone’s voice matters. But I am speaking now. I am speaking now.” Campaign staffers located the pro-Palestinian protestors in the crowd and eventually removed them from the venue, according to NBC News. The interruption was Harris’s first on the campaign trail since succeeding President Biden on the ticket, putting her face-to-face with the party’s base of young, extremely progressive voters who have been galvanized by Israel’s encroachment into Gaza at its forces attempt to root out Hamas fighters and leadership. Similar protests plagued President Biden during similar campaign stops this year.

The danger of alienating young progressives is real for the Harris campaign. During the Democratic state primaries, pro-Palestinian activists encouraged progressives to blank their ballot for president, putting the number of “uncommitted” Democrats in some states as high as 15%. The results were a black eye for Biden though didn’t badly jolt his campaign or change the direction of the administration’s support for Israel other than some forceful suggestions that the Jewish nation do its best to limit civilian casualties. Earlier this week, Republicans accused Vice President Harris of skirting the selection of Pennsylvania Gov. Joshua Shapiro for her ticket because he is Jewish and alleging that the far-left members of her party were openly antisemitic. The Harris campaign has denied that ethnicity played any role in their selection of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz instead.

“In two cases, they’ve showed us who they are. Kamala Harris absolutely bowed down to the radical left by not giving [Joshua] Shapiro [VP],” Republican analyst Scott Jennings said on CNN. “There was a nasty campaign run against him. Everybody knows it. Nobody wants to admit it but everybody knows it. And she wound up choosing the person who was not Jewish and not as talented, and not from the state that she has to win.”

Nearly half of the infamous “Squad” members in Congress have been named in a lawsuit alleging they contributed to a climate of fear for Jewish New Yorkers who couldn’t walk the campus of Columbia University during the height of the pro-Palestinian encampments.

The New York Post reported on a class-action suit that accuses Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Jamaal Bowman (D-NY), and Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (D-NY) of both “inciting and encouraging” long-term demonstrations that in some cases became violent, filled with antisemitic chants and physical confrontations with Jewish students simply crossing the demarcation lines of encampments on their college campuses. Plaintiffs, comprised of five anonymous students, are also suing at least a dozen groups they accuse of instigating the anti-Israel riots including the notoriously far-left group Within Our Lifetime. The five students labeled Omar, Bowman, and AOC “outside champions” for the ruckus that ensued, including violent encounters with police and campus officers.

Responding to the takeover of Columbia’s Hamilton Hall, AOC wrote on X, “If any kid is hurt tonight, responsibility will fall on the mayor and univ presidents,” calling it “a nightmare in the making.” The occupation of a central university building fixed public attention on the campus as masked protestors threw rocks, chanted “Free Palestine!” and burned an Israeli flag while barricading themselves inside. Citing the arrest of Rep. Omar’s daughter Isra Hirsi, the plaintiffs allege Squad members were intimately aware of the chaos ensuing and the jeopardy it posed to Jewish students who make up more than one in five among the university’s student body. The three Squad members also walked the grounds of the campus in April “and participated in the encampment,” the plaintiffs claim, adding to their culpability in what transpired.

“The Gaza Encampment was extreme and outrageous conduct. It was illegal. It violated university rules. Its occupants harassed, followed, physically blocked, intimidated, and bullied Jewish students,” the students said in the litigation. The encampment and their cheerleaders “not only consciously disregarded the rights of others, but the impact on the rights of others was the point of the protest: the more disruption [they] could cause for the University and the [students], the more leverage they thought they would have for their agenda,” according to the lawsuit. Two of the five students are Jewish, they explain, but all are afraid to reveal their names for fear of intimidation by their fellow students.

Describing the climate of fear they live under today, one student, identified as “Eric Doe,” said the fallout from the encampments “felt like he was living under an ominous cloud of doubt and uncertainty as he waited for the protestors or administration’s next move that would further impact his studies and life on campus.” Another, going by “William Doe,” said his senior year expo was canceled as a result of the demonstrations while a third known as “Michael Doe,” alleges he was told “Keep walking Zionist” by one of the protestors who followed him past Columbia’s encampment. “Tim Doe,” another Jewish student, “because he did not feel safe,” told the Post, “during the protests, I witnessed numerous offensive and antisemitic signs and messages, including antisemitic skunk posters with the Star of David.”

“In one instance, I was walking with my non-Jewish friends when I was singled out because I was wearing my yarmulke. A leader of the pro-Palestinian protest approached our group and confronted me. He singled me out, yelling that I needed to move, and when I refused, he began to shove me out of the way.” The students concluded, “In a civilized community, one does not call for the obliteration of a major metropolitan area, praise terrorists, or threaten death and destruction upon our classmates and their families, friends, and coreligionists.”

A May 15th graduation ceremony was canceled as a result of the protests out of fear that it would be disrupted, leaving seniors feeling unrecognized after four years of difficult academics at the Ivy League university. “Those were real damages sustained by the 36,000 students at Columbia who chose to obey university rules, go to class, and pursue their education, only to be frustrated at the finish line by the … acts of their classmates and professors, with the assistance and encouragement of outside activists,” the students argued.

At least five U.S. personnel have been injured in rocket attack on a military base in Iraq that houses U.S. troops, several sources told Reuters. The attack comes as the world braces for a potential attack on Israel launched by Iran and its proxies after Israel assassinated leaders of Hamas and Hezbollah.

According to the report, two Katyusha rockets were fired at al Asad airbase in western Iraq, two Iraqi security sources told the outlet. While U.S. bases in Iraq have been targeted by Iran-backed militias in the past, it is currently unclear whether Monday’s attack is linked to any Iranian retaliation as of this report.

On Wednesday, the Iranian government released a statement blaming the United States for the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, who was killed in downtown Tehran while staying in a military-run guesthouse. It is strongly believed that Israel was behind the assassination, as the Israeli government has repeatedly vowed to target Hamas leadership.

Just hours before Haniyeh’s assassination last week, Israel announced the assassination of Fuad Shukr, a senior Hezbollah leader in Lebanon.

Two U.S. officials told Reuters that at least one of the wounded Americans was “seriously injured” in Monday’s attack.

The current casualty count of five is based on initial reports that could still change, the officials cautioned. “Base personnel are conducting a post-attack damage assessment,” one of the officials said.

Last week, the U.S. carried out strikes against suspected militants who U.S. officials said were getting ready to launch drone and rocket attacks against U.S. troops.

In anticipation of possible Iranian retaliation for the assassination on Haniyeh, the U.S. has deployed additional fighter jets and Naval assets to the region. Iran, along with its proxies in Lebanon and Iraq, launched drone and missile attacks against Israel earlier this year following the bombing of a diplomatic building that killed several Iranian military leaders.

As of August 2024, there are roughly 2,500 U.S. troops stationed in Iraq.

Iraq has asked the  the U.S.-led military coalition to begin withdrawing in September and to formally end the coalition’s work by September 2025, Iraqi sources have said. Some troops are expected to remain in an advisory capacity.

The Minnesota native has played footsie with Republican politics since retiring in 2022 and left open the possibility of her own run for office. She chaired the unsuccessful campaign of her homestate Republican gubernatorial candidate Kendall Qualls that year and took on an increased surrogate role following an attempt to branch out on her own during a controversial 2021 interview with the ultra-liberal ABC program “The View.”

Appearing alongside far-left hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Sunny Hostin, and others, Tafoya blasted critical race theory and attempted to defend vaccine opponents, throwing the liberal ladies into a full-blown meltdown. “I just want to give the benefit of the doubt to some people that there are two sides to the story. I think all of us can agree that there is probably a lot to this story we still don’t know,” Tafoya said to the audience, who jeered right back at her. “Oh, you’re going to groan at me!” Tafoya lamented. Joy Behar quipped,“That’s The View, honey.” Her comments led to a brief disappearance from NBC Sports which executives chalked up to scheduling conflicts at the time.

Targeting the Squad, however, may prove to be smarter politics for Tafoya now that she herself is an unsigned agent. The media-savvy ex-reporter is tapping into broad dissatisfaction with far-left ideologies and candidates, and Rep. Tlaib may be looking over her shoulder after fellow anti-Israel critic, Rep. Jamaal Bowman, lost his Democratic primary last month to a staunch progressive Jewish suburbanite. Similarly, Missouri Democrat Cori Bush (D-MO) is running neck-and-neck with a progressive opponent in a Detroit district where voters have grown tired of her posturing and pursuit of national headlines.

An Israeli NGO is calling on U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland to investigate Amal Clooney, the wife of actor George Clooney, over her role in the International Criminal Court’s (ICC) decision to issue arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant over the war in Gaza.

According to Shurat HaDin, Clooney participated in the ICC’s advisory forum and was a supporter of the decision to issue arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Gallant, as well as Hamas leaders Yahya Sinwar and Mohammed Deif in Gaza.

The group is alleging that Clooney violated federal law by participating in the “investigative actions” against the two Israeli leaders while on American soil. The complaint specifically alleged that Clooney violated the American Servicemembers’ Protection Act of 2001, also known as The Hague Invasion Act.

Under the legislation, ICC agents are prohibited from conducting their investigations on behalf of the court while on U.S. soil. Neither the United States nor Israel is a member of the ICC.

“The American law is extremely clear: No agent of the ICC can operate or assist in ICC investigative actions against Americans or their allies while residing in the U.S.,” Shurat HaDin President Nitsana Darshan-Leitner said in a statement to Ynet News.

If Clooney is found to have conducted any of her work for the court while located in the United States, she could face felony charges.

In its letter, the Israeli NGO noted that Clooney took part in an investigative forum under ICC Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan, which was tasked with investigating allegations of war crimes in the Gaza War.

The group further alleges that Clooney openly discussed her work with the forum and bragged about her efforts to incriminate the Israeli leaders.

“As President Biden stated, it is outrageous that this biased court in The Hague would attempt to prosecute Israeli officials as they battle the Hamas murderers, rapists and terror gangs in Gaza,” Darshan-Leitner said.

“If Amal Clooney participated in the ICC panel investigating Prime Minister Netanyahu while residing in the US then she is the one that needs to be prosecuted. She seems to be passionate about international law but pretty contemptuous of American regulations.” 

Shurat HaDin also pointed to George Clooney’s fundraising and support for the Biden/Harris campaign. “George Clooney’s efforts to intervene and interfere with White House policy on behalf of his wife while raising funds for Biden’s campaign is troubling and suspicious,” she added.
