The eldest granddaughter of former President Donald Trump will be rocketing off to college in the near future after making a major sports commitment that is sure to make her family proud.

Kai, the daughter of Donald Trump, Jr. and ex-wife Vanessa, announced Sunday that she has committed to playing Division I golf at the University of Miami despite only entering her high school junior year this fall at the Benjamin School, a private day school in Palm Beach, Florida. The Daily Mail reports that Kai broke the news on her Instagram page where she praised her parents for supporting her dream to continue playing at an elite level. “I would like to thank my mom, Vanessa, and my dad, Don, for always supporting me through my journey. I would also like to thank my great team for getting me to this point,” she wrote, including photos from a recent campus visit.

The 17-year-old hasn’t fallen far from the Trump family tree. President Trump is an avid golfer and even hit the links the day after an assassination attempt on his life last month. She has won the ladies’ club championship at the former president’s Florida golf course and credits “Grandpa” Trump with cultivating her love for the game. “I would like to thank my Grandpa for giving me access to great courses and tremendous support,” she added. “I would also like to thank my entire family for always encouraging and pushing me to be the best person I can possibly be. I would like to thank my friends for always cheering me on. Last but not least I would love to thank Coach Janice and Coach Jim for giving me this opportunity. Kai and her grandfather have a friendly rivalry on the links, and she admits he still manages to beat her during their outings. The rising junior shot to stardom during her appearance at the Republican National Convention in July as President Trump welcomed his family into the spotlight while accepting his third presidential nomination. While playing with YouTube personality Grant Horvat last month, Kai said in a video that her grandfather manages to eke out victories when they play together. “I watched half of it (the DeChambeau video) because I was working out. It was awesome. It was crazy. Genuinely, he always gives me a run for my money. It’s pretty close. It’s never really like game over and I’ve won on the 15th hole. He wins a lot of the time. I do have to say that. I’ve got to get better,” she tells a videographer who captured the moment.

The two have played as teammates as well, competing in the Pro-Am division of the LIV Golf tournament at Trump’s course in Doral, Florida. She has also played alongside Uncle Eric Trump, Sergio Garcia, US PGA Champion Brooks Koepka, and a rotating cast of Secret Service agents around the president. She regularly drives over 260 yards with a high mark of 275, a feat which helped propel her to the captain’s position of her high school team. The National Pulse obtained a record of the individuals the former president will rely on as he strengthens his grip on the levers of government that he claims have been used to politically persecute him since he left the White House in 2021. His presidential transition team will operate as a 501(c)4 political nonprofit under IRS guidelines, and former wrestling executive and ambassador Linda McMahon and billionaire Trump donor and finance mogul Howard Lutnick will lead it. Backing up both successful businesspeople will be Ohio Sen. and vice presidential nominee J.D. Vance (R-OH) and the former president’s two eldest sons, Donald Trump Jr and Eric Trump.

After originally proposing the elimination of federal taxes on tipped wages, Trump saw his own idea coopted by Harris, which, while certainly upsetting, also indicates how popular his ideas are to the electorate. Even those who may hold negative views of the Republican tell pollsters that they generally agree with his America First agenda, including a secure border, reduced involvement in foreign wars, and economic policies that grow American jobs and ensure wages keep pace with rising costs of goods and housing.

Former President Donald Trump’s eldest granddaughter, Kai Madison Trump, became a late speaking addition to the Republican National Convention when she asked her dad, Donald Trump Jr., if she could get the chance to speak.

“Before I begin my remarks, I’m going to do something a little uncharacteristic. A Trump is going to give up the microphone. It doesn’t happen often, you may never see it again, but I got a call on Monday morning from a young lady who said, ‘Dad, I want to speak at the RNC. I want to speak at the RNC because I want America to know what my grandpa is actually like,’” Trump Jr. said after taking the stage on Wednesday night. He then introduced his eldest daughter, who told convention goers that she wanted to, “share the side of my grandpa that people don’t often see.”

“To me, he’s just a normal grandpa. He gives us candy and soda when our parents aren’t looking. He always wants to know how we’re doing in school. When I made the high honor roll, he printed it out to show his friends how proud he was of me. He calls me during the middle of the school day to ask how my golf game is going and tells me all about his,” she said, drawing cheers from the crowd and a big smile from her grandfather.

The speech then took on a more serious tone when the former president’s granddaughter referenced the assassination attempt that took place this past Saturday. “On Saturday, I was shocked when I heard that he has been shot and I just wanted to know if he was okay. It was heartbreaking that someone would do that to another person. Grandpa, you are such an inspiration, and I love you,” she continued, prompting the crowd to rise for a standing ovation.

Donald Trump Jr. forcefully rebuffed MSNBC reporter Jacob Soboroff at the Republican National Convention, directing him to leave the event following questions about his father’s policies and leadership. This comes just days after the assassination attempt on Trump Sr., who has now secured enough votes to become the GOP’s presidential nominee once more.

“Your father as president, I think you would even say was a divisive figure. What’s it going to look like in the second term?” Soboroff asked, putting the microphone in his face. “I don’t think he was a divisive figure at all,” Trump Jr. chirped back.

“I think the media created divisiveness around him. They lied about Russia collusion. They said he was a traitor. They went after him in every which way is possible.” As Soboroff pressed on about the potential continuation of policies like family separation, Trump Jr. dismissed the framing of the questions as biased and accused MSNBC of perpetuating falsehoods.

“It’s MSDNC, so I expect nothing less from you clowns. Even today, even 48 hours later, you couldn’t wait. You couldn’t wait with your lies and with your nonsense. So just get out of here,” he yelled, signaling the end of the interview.

Former President Trump announced on Truth Social over the weekend that he had thought about postponing his trip to the RNC, but said he “decided that I cannot allow a ‘shooter,’ or potential assassin, to force change to scheduling, or anything else.”

The GOP once again chose Trump as their presidential candidate following the roll call vote Monday afternoon. This marked the third time Trump has received the nomination since 2016. He is slated to formally accept this nomination during his speech on Thursday evening.

The 2024 favorite also officially selected Ohio Senator J.D. Vance as his 2024 running mate. Vance, a celebrated author and former Marine, will play a key role in Trump’s bid to reconnect with the heartland and working-class voters across America.

“After lengthy deliberation and thought, and considering the tremendous talents of many others, I have decided that the person best suited to assume the position of Vice President of the United States is Senator J.D. Vance of the Great State of Ohio,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

“J.D. has had a very successful business career in Technology and Finance, and now, during the Campaign, will be strongly focused on the people he fought so brilliantly for, the American Workers and Farmers in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, Minnesota, and far beyond,” Trump continued.

“As Vice President, J.D. will continue to fight for our Constitution, stand with our Troops, and will do everything he can to help me MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN. Congratulations to Senator J.D. One contestant in President Trump’s final round of the veepstakes is getting a major push from former First Lady Melania Trump.

Puck News reported that Melania in recent days has been speaking warmly about North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, a former primary rival of Trump’s who has gone out of his way to stump for him across multiple swing states. Sources say the former first lady believes in Burgum, 67, because of her close relationship with his wife Kathryn, who previously worked with Melania on a White House initiative. She is up against Donald Trump, Jr., who is pushing aggressively for Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH).

“If it’s Melania over Don Jr., she wins,” a source told the outlet before pausing to note that her credibility took a major hit after she urged Trump to endorse Mehmet Oz over David McCormick in Pennsylvania’s 2022 U.S. Senate race. “That was a major f***-up on her part. It cost her,” the former Trump aide said.

Supporters of Gov. Burgum cite his bonhomie, low-key demeanor as an asset to the truculent president, bringing gravitas to the ticket without outshining him. The North Dakota Republican is also fabulously wealthy, having funded his own presidential bid with $20 million in personal donations while carrying a Rolodex of high-net-worth conservatives in the business world who have largely been leery about backing President Trump.

Sources told Puck News that President Trump, for his part, doesn’t much care for any of the remaining VP contenders who are widely rumored to include Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) as well. He is reportedly “irked” at the idea his selection will somehow help him win in November. “He doesn’t much give a f*** about it. He doesn’t love any of these people; he doesn’t know these people,” said a person close to the former president. “With Burgum, he likes his look, but they haven’t actually spent a lot of time together; one-on-one, just maybe five, eight times. He doesn’t spend time with J.D. He doesn’t give a f*** about Mike Pence,” they added, referring to his former vice president’s continued condemnations of his campaign.

He has confided his worry about selecting Gov. Burgum after he signed a near-total abortion ban in North Dakota, according to CNN. Asked about Burgum as a potential pick, Trump told Fox News Radio, “It’s a little bit of an issue. It’s a pretty strong ban. You know, I think Doug is great. But it is a strong, he’s taken a very strong stance, or the state has, I don’t know if it’s Doug, but the state has, so it’s an issue.”

The Trump empire is stronger than ever, based on a statement by the former president that his corporation will be undertaking a new venture overseas within the next year.

In a surprise announcement on Monday, the Trump Organization revealed plans to build a new Trump Tower in Saudia Arabia with a focus on luxury amenities targeted toward the country’s high-net worth individuals, according to CNN. The new tower will be constructed in the city of Jeddah, a popular port citizen with about four million residents, and will be designed in partnership with mega-developer Dar Al Arkan of the Dar Global brand.

“We are thrilled to expand our footprint in the Middle East and bring the Trump standard of luxury to the region through our long-standing relationship with Dar Global,” Eric Trump, executive vice president of the Trump Organization and son of former president Donald Trump, said in the announcement. Dar Global added the venture would cater to the “luxury Saudi Arabian market and international investors.”

The sudden news builds on a previous announcement that Dar Global and the Trump Organization would be partnering on the construction of a $500 million Trump International hotel complex in Oman, another relatively peaceful Middle Eastern nation that shares a lengthy border with Saudia Arabia. The five-star hotel, set for completion in 2028, promises a nightclub, golf course and members-only club. The Trump name and logo will be affixed to the property, Dar Al Arkan confirmed to the outlet.

Watchdog groups have already cited the pending projects as areas of potential conflict if President Trump were to win another four-year term.

“The Trump Organization’s continued pursuit of foreign business projects raises perilous national security, corruption and constitutional concerns,” Donald K. Sherman, senior vice president and chief counsel at the Citizens for Responsibility & Ethics in Washington (CREW), told CNN in a statement. “This is particularly true of their development in Saudi Arabia, whose government has a long history of apparently seeking to influence Donald Trump. If Trump were to return to the presidency, he would likely violate the Foreign Emoluments Clause of the Constitution, as he did repeatedly in his first term in office.”

CREW previously found that President Trump made at least $9.6 million off his Middle East properties during his four years in office. The Republican has maintained his distance from the Trump Organization’s day-to-day operations, instead entrusting his sons Eric Trump and Donald Trump, Jr. to do what they think is best for the family brand.

The timing of the announcement is good news, considering a legal ruling in New York state earlier this year that the Trump Organization artificially inflated the value of its assets to leverage favorable loan terms with banks. President Trump, who attended most of the trial, has accused state Attorney General Letitia James of unfairly targeting him and seeking to dismantle the company he inherited from his father.
