Just days after bringing home goods giant Lowe’s to its knees, investigator filmmaker Robby Starbuck has one of America’s largest automotive companies in a chokehold over its “woke” DEI policies.

On Tuesday, Starbuck revealed that it took little more than a few questions to one of Lowe’s most senior executives before the company performed an about-face, scrapping plans to partner with the Human Rights Campaign around a social equality index scoring the company on its hiring and bonus policies for employees based on race and gender. The same is happening at Ford where company spokespersons are reacting to a threat from Starbuck that he intends to report on how the nation’s oldest vehicle manufacturer was making similar moves.

Responding to Starbuck, Ford said it would immediately move to end its participation in the HRC’s Corporate Equality Index social credit system. Starbuck wrote on X that it “sounds like” Ford will also be ending its financial support for LGBTQ events or initiatives, a similar change instituted by Lowe’s. Conservatives continue to single out transgender initiatives after Bud Light’s disastrous campaign with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney. Other changes announced by Ford will be the elimination of diversity quotas at its dealerships, honoring a commitment to a “merit-based approach,” and keeping employee resource groups focused on business rather than racial or gender ideologies.

“This isn’t everything we want but it’s a great start,” Starbuck wrote. “We’re now forcing multi-billion dollar organizations to change their policies without even posting just from fear they have of being the next company that we expose. We will continue to communicate with our sources in companies we expose and report on any that step out of line. I can promise that if we have to do a second report, it will be much more aggressive.” He added, “We are winning and one by one we WILL bring sanity back to corporate America” and cited progress made by his fanbase in seeking changes at other companies with rural and conservative customers like Tractor Supply, John Deere, Harley Davidson, Polaris, and Indian Motorcycle.

Since last year’s devastating boycott of Bud Light, conservative consumers and influencers have found that the language of protest is a powerful tool to force some of their preferred corporations back into the business of basic customer service. Many saw their stocks and foot traffic plummet in the wake of negative conservative publicity, with Bud Light still serving as a cautionary tale: the company has fallen far out of the top 10 most popular beers in America and expects at least 25% of its customer base will never return.

The maker of Jack Daniel’s whiskey said that the company will be doing away with its DEI initiatives after customers raised concerns and threatened a boycott.

Alcohol conglomerate Brown-Forman Corp became the latest company to axe its diversity, equity and inclusion program. The move comes after a number of brands with right-leaning customer bases — including Tractor Supply, Harley Davidson and the John Deere Company — announced similar moves.

Jack Daniel’s found themselves under the microscope after conservative commentator and filmmaker Robby Starbuck drew attention to the Tennessee-based company’s DEI initiatives. In an X post, Starbuck revealed that the whiskey giant was the next brand he wanted to draw attention to, though the company opted to preemptively end its DEI program in order to avert a boycott.

In an email to employees, the company announced that it will be ending participation with the Human Rights Center’s Corporate Equity Index, which gives businesses grades based on their commitment to left-wing causes and acts as a form of corporate social credit score.

Jack Daniel’s will also be ensuring that promotions are based on merit rather than race or gender-based hiring quotas, an end to “quantitative workforce and supplier diversity ambitions,” as well as an end to DEI-themed employee trainings.

The company previously tied 10 percent of executives’ short-term compensation to progress on DEI goals, according to a 2023 annual report. According to a report from the New York Post, Jack Daniel’s unveiled its DEI goals in 2019.

“We’re now forcing multi-billion dollar organizations to change their policies without even posting just from fear they have of being the next company that we expose,” Starbuck wrote in an X post alongside a screenshot of the email.

“We are winning and one by one we will bring sanity back to corporate America.”

Starbuck previously organized boycotts of Tractor Supply, Harley Davidson and the John Deere Company over their respective DEI goals and policies. All three companies have done away with the programs in question due to significant pushback from customers.

Disneyland will be replacing a scene in its iconic Peter Pan ride to remove what it referred to as “stereotypes” of “indigenous people,” officials announced earlier this week.

The renovation to Peter Pan’s Flight in Fantasyland — which was an Opening Day attraction when the Anaheim park opened for business in 1955 — follows a similar update to the same ride in Disney’s flagship Orlando park.

In its present state, the scene portrays multiple tribal members, including a chief with his arms crossed. Characters in the scene appear peaceful, though the ride has caused controversy on Reddit. Users have referred to the depictions as “problematic” and “caricatures” of indigenous peoples.

The updated Never Land Tribe scene at the Magic Kingdom ride features  animatronic figures of Peter Pan’s friend Tiger Lily and her great-grandmother as they partake in a harvest ceremony.

Disneyland officials told the New York Post that similar changes will soon be made at the California theme park. Officials stated that a timetable for the changes is unclear at this time, though the “Imagineers” behind the theme park are focused on “thoughtful” changes.

In addition to the Peter Pan ride, Disney revamped its iconic Splash Mountain ride due to what were deemed to be racially insensitive themes. The original attraction was based on the 1946 film “Song of the South,” which has now been rebranded as “Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.”

The new water ride is based on the 2009 animated film “The Princess and the Frog” and features Tiana, Disney’s first black princess.

The changes at the parks follow similar initiatives undertaken by Disney in regards to its classic films, many of which have been slapped with “trigger warnings,” including Peter Pan.

“These stereotypes were wrong then and are wrong now,” reads a disclaimer for the film on its flagship streaming service, Disney +.

Delta Airlines is scrambling to respond to a wave of criticism the airline is receiving after X users uncovered DEI policies that it says are discriminatory.

Fox News Business reported that Delta has jettisoned the use of the phrase “ladies and gentlemen” during its boarding gate announcements, a change that came in response to an overhaul of its diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives implemented under DEI & Social Impact Officer Kyra Lynn Johnson. The executive previously promised to “boldly pursue equity” since being elevated from a communications role in 2016. Describing her intent during a February 2021 panel with other DEI implementors, Johnson explained, “So we’re beginning to take a hard look at things like our gatehouse announcements. You know, we welcome ‘ladies and gentlemen.’ And we’ve asked ourselves, ‘Is that as gender inclusive as we want to be?’ You know, we’re looking at some legacy language that exists in some of our employee manuals. And getting to the root of the way some things are described and saying, ‘Does that actually send a message of inclusivity?’”

The change went unnoticed originally when in December 2020, Johnson released new company guidelines discouraging boarding gates to refrain from using the phrase “ladies and gentlemen” and reminded Delta employees that there are more than two genders. “Use gender-neutral language and pronouns. Do not use language that suggests a gender binary (male-female),” the Delta guide said. A spokesperson for the company told Fox News that it stands by Johnson’s recommendation. “Delta encourages our people to use language that is inclusive of everyone as our global customer base includes a broad range of diversity in cultural backgrounds, identity and experiences,” the spokesperson said. Delta CEO Ed Bastian has indicated his support as well.

Speaking at that same panel in 2021, Johnson stated that she is focused on ensuring Delta transitions its corporate agenda toward being “antiracist,” a change that came roughly six months after the death of George Floyd and nationwide Black Lives Matter protests. “To really come out and say, as an organization, that we are an antiracist company was really important to us,” she said at the time. “We are going to actively seek diversity. We’re also talking about how we’re going to boldly pursue equity. And we’re talking about the steps we’re taking to consciously promote inclusion. So, we realize, like many of you have, that it’s not enough just to say, ‘We aren’t racist,’ but to say that you are antiracist.”

Changes to hiring policies across the airline industry, especially for its pilots, have drawn scrutiny from conservative corners over what they say amounts to putting flyer safety on the back burner. The changes are part of a “top-down” realignment under Johnson of Delta’s talent pipeline. “We said we’re going to reimagine and redefine our talent strategy,” Johnson said in 2021, with a focus on being “intentional about the representation that we need.” She added that metrics would track whether Delta is ultimately successful in the total transformation of its workforce through DEI initiatives. “We’re starting on a quarterly basis to specifically measure those representation gaps at every level of the company. So we’re looking at the front line representation gap,” she said.

More recently, conservative boycotts have focused on Fortune 500 companies that have implemented similar DEI policies, and they have seen some success as corporations have backtracked under pressure. Tractor Supply and John Deere, which both cater to a rural and conservative base of customers, recently announced they would be repealing DEI guidelines that drew national attention.

John Deere, a longstanding leader in the agricultural sector, has decided to streamline its focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, opting to redirect its efforts toward core business practices and direct customer feedback.

The shift in policy was announced on Tuesday, amidst larger corporate moves to recalibrate DEI strategies that align more tightly with business objectives. The company had recently faced backlash from its customer base due to its implementation of DEI policies following similar reactions toward other companies like Chick-fil-A and Tractor Supply.

“John Deere was founded in America’s heartland nearly 200 years ago by an entrepreneur deeply committed to delivering innovative products to his customers. We’re proud of this legacy and it continues to drive us today.

The company is now taking decisive steps to modify its approach by discontinuing support for external social or cultural awareness events and concentrating on professional development and recruitment initiatives. The company wrote that these changes are rooted in a commitment to listening to customer feedback and enhancing operational efficiency.

“We will no longer participate in or support external social or cultural awareness parades, festivals, or events. Business Resource Groups will exclusively focus on professional development, networking, mentoring, and supporting talent recruitment efforts,” the company explained.

The agricultural giant also detailed its ongoing commitment to its workforce and regulatory compliance. “Auditing all company-mandated training materials and policies to ensure the absence of socially motivated messages, while being in compliance with federal, state, and local laws,” the statement added, underlining an effort to maintain a diverse workforce while eschewing mandated social agendas.

“Reaffirming within the business that the existence of diversity quotas and pronoun identification have never been and are not company policy.”

The press release finished, “We fundamentally believe that a diverse workforce enables us to best meet our customers’ needs and because of that we will continue to track and advance the diversity of our organization. We remain committed to listening to our customers, employees, and other key stakeholders. These policies reportedly included sponsoring a Pride event aimed at young children, implementing gender identity training, and encouraging employees to use preferred pronouns in all communications.

Starbuck detailed several grievances, such as the company’s sponsorship of controversial events and trainings, which many consumers felt prioritized identity politics over traditional business practices. Conservatives are singling out a major farm supply corporation they accuse of promoting woke internal policies, a stance they claim is hypocritical given their conservative base of rural customers.

Human Events editor Jack Posobiec was the first to call out that the CEO of Tractor Supply, Hal Lawton, has fostered a human resources department that “promotes LGBT training, funds pride and drag events, supports sex changes, and pushes climate activism.”

“Despite their conservative customers, they have a DEI Council, pride decorations, and LGBT events,” Posobiec continued, tagging Lawton on X. The corporate executive has since deleted his account.

Citing what appear to be internal documents, Posobiec points to statements about Tractor Supply’s “Partnership Playbook” which authors offer up as a “road map on how to connect with your local community and be a resource for diversity recruiting efforts that align with our DEI ESG goals set by Hal Lawton, CEO with the support of Executive Leadership.” In a statement on its diversity pledge, the company writes:

“We are committed to providing a diverse and inclusive culture supported by our Mission & Values, where we respectfully foster different perspectives, ideas, and innovative thinking. We know that we are stronger together, and we believe in the authenticity of our Team Members bring to work every day. By focusing on our Team Members first, we know that our customers and communities will be well served. Diversity and inclusion play a key role in moving our business forward.”

Posobiec’s post late night Thursday post has since garnered over 2,000 reposts. Roughly an hour after it went up, a user pointed out that Lawton had made his X account private. As of Friday morning it no longer appears in search results.

A growing movement to rein in woke corporate policies, especially those related to issues of race and gender, has been an epicenter of conservative activism in recent years. They have taken on increased urgency since the Black Lives Matter protests of 2020 where liberal activists demanded that corporations, sports teams, and even individual citizens pledge their allegiance to the movement or face public callouts and cancellation. In response, conservatives have stepped up their efforts to boycott companies who fell in line. Among the victims: Bud Light, which partnered with a transgender influencer; Skittles, after the brand covered their candy bags with transgender cartoons; and Netflix, which promoted a show where a young boy is encouraged to dance around in a ballerina tutu while he two fathers look on proudly.

Earlier this week conservatives notched another win after Project Veritas released video of a vice president at Disney claiming he and other white men were being held back from promotions due to race. Michael Giordano, an attorney with the company, claimed he has been told by human resources personnel that he will never be promoted for the foreseeable future and in some cases other biracial individuals who did not appear traditionally Black were looked over for promotions. Giordano has since deleted his LinkedIn account.
