“The Apprentice,” a controversial biopic that portrays a young Donald Trump as a rapist, is an absolute box office bomb despite fawning media coverage.

According to a report from Breitbart News, the film is set to gross just $1.5 million in its opening weekend. “That’s an embarrassingly low figure given the movie received a wide release on 1,740 screens, for a per-screen average of about $862,” Breitbart News reported.

“Since most screens feature multiple showings a day, that means from late Thursday to Sunday, there was an average of around five people per showing — in other words, mostly empty theaters.”

Glowing coverage and spotlights from several prominent media outlets have been unable to save the film, which is coming in well below its opening weekend expected gross of $3.5 million. The movie received puff pieces from the New York Times, CNN, CBS News, MSNBC, and several entertainment magazines, such as Variety.

The film, which stars Sebastian Stan as a young Donald Trump, has been billed as an “exploration of power and ambition set in a world of corruption and deceit,” according to an official synopsis. “It’s a mentor-protege story that charts the origins of an American dynasty. Filled with larger than life characters, it reveals the moral and human cost of a culture defined by winners and losers,” the synopsis reads.

“The Apprentice,” despite its title, does not cover Trump’s highly successful business reality show and admits that large swaths of the film are entirely fictionalized. One scene in the film shows Trump raping his wife, Ivana Trump, a claim she publicly denied. Other scenes show the former president undergoing plastic surgery.

Director Ali Abassi referred to the former president as a “fascist” while the film was in competition at Cannes, where it failed to win any awards.

The film also failed to score a distribution deal from any major studio or streaming platforms, leaving Briarcliff Entertainment to swoop in for a last-minute domestic release. Crowdfunding was still needed in order to release the film prior to Election Day as Abassi had wished.

Lawyers for the former president previously sent a cease and desist letter to the filmmakers prior to its debut. “We will be filing a lawsuit to address the blatantly false assertions from these pretend filmmakers. This garbage is pure fiction which sensationalizes lies that have been long debunked,” Steven Cheung, a Trump campaign spokesperson, said in a statement to CNN. “This ‘film’ is pure malicious defamation, should not see the light of day, and doesn’t even deserve a place in the straight-to-DVD section of a bargain bin at a soon-to-be-closed discount movie store, it belongs in a dumpster fire.”

A 49-year-old man from Las Vegas was arrested near former President Donald Trump’s California rally on Saturday with a loaded firearm and a high-capacity magazine, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department announced Sunday.

Deputies assigned to the rally approached a black SUV at a checkpoint near the intersection of Avenue 52 and Celebration Drive just before 5 p.m. Saturday, law enforcement officials said. Upon searching the vehicle, police recovered a shotgun, a loaded handgun and a high-capacity magazine.

The driver, who has been identified as Vem Miller, was taken into custody and booked at the John J. Benoit Detention Center on suspicion of possessing a loaded firearm and possessing a high-capacity magazine. Miller was released on $5,000 bail on Saturday ,and was scheduled to appear at the Indio Larson Justice Center on Jan. 2, 2025, according to a review of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department inmate database conducted by KABC.

Law enforcement officials do not believe that neither rally attendees nor the former president were in immediate danger at the time of Miller’s arrest.

The investigation is ongoing, and it is currently unclear whether the suspect attempted to harm the former president.

Saturday’s incident potentially represents the third attempt on the former president’s life in less than 100 days. Trump was previously shot in the ear when 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks opened fire from a nearby rooftop while Trump was speaking in Butler, Pennsylvania. Secret Service opted to leave the roof uncovered, reportedly due to the heat, giving Crooks a clear shot at the former president’s podium.

The would-be assassin was confronted by a local police officer, who was forced to retreat when Crooks aimed his weapon. The gunman was then forced to rush his shots, one of which grazed the former president in the ear. Two additional Trump supporters were critically wounded while retired firefighter Corey Comperatore was killed while shielding his daughter from gunfire.

A little more than a month later, Secret Service agents engaged another would-be assassin outside Trump’s West Palm Beach, Florida golf course. A Secret Service advance team spotted the barrel of a rifle sticking through the fence of the course and opened fire, causing the suspect to flee.

The suspect, later identified as 58-year-old Ryan Routh, was soon arrested without incident in nearby Martin County. Routh — who recently travelled to Ukraine and was attempting to recruit foreign fighters to fight for the Ukrainian government — is charged with attempting to assassinate a presidential candidate, possessing a firearm in furtherance of a violent crime and assaulting a federal officer.

The attempted assassination charge carries a maximum penalty of life in federal prison.

Republican vice presidential nominee J.D. Vance smacked down ABC News host Martha Raddatz after she attempted to downplay the takeover and Aurora, Colorado apartment complex by a violent Venezuelan gang.

Earlier this summer, reports and videos from Aurora surfaced about several members of a violent Venezuelan gang terrorizing the once peaceful community.

Doorbell video obtained by Fox News shows a parade of young men, some brandishing handguns and long guns, bursting through the doors of private apartments in a building located in Aurora City, a suburb just a half-hour drive from the heart of Denver. In the clip, the young men, all wearing hooded sweatshirts or caps, break into one room as part of activity that police and petrified residents say is part of a widespread criminal enterprise. “This is organized. They patrol the property with guns visibly, like they’re not trying to hide them. There’s no repercussion. These are ghosts,” said one resident too scared to provide their name.

Local authorities believe the migrants to be affiliated with Tren de Aragua, or TdA, a sprawling gang headquartered in Venezuela that counts more than 5,000 members across North and South America.

On Sunday, ABC’s Martha Raddatz attempted to downplay the incidents during an interview with J.D. Vance. “The incidents were limited to a handful of apartment complexes and the mayor said our dedicated police officers have acted on those concerns. A handful of problems,” she said.

“Martha, do you hear yourself? Only a handful of apartment complexes in America were taken over by Venezuelan gangs and Donald Trump is the problem and not Kamala Harris’s open border?” Vance shot back. 

“Americans are so fed up with what’s going on and they have every right to be. Former President Donald Trump is once again in the lead over Vice President Kamala Harris in NBC News’ latest presidential survey after weeks of trailing.

In a pure head-to-head matchup, Trump remains tied with Harris at 48 percent each. In an expanded ballot, which includes third-party candidates such as Cornel West and Dr. Jill Stein, Trump’s lead expands to one points at 47 percent to 46 percent.

“In the new poll — which was conducted Oct. 4-8 — Harris gets support from 48% of registered voters in a head-to-head matchup, while Trump gets an identical 48%. Another 4% say they are undecided or wouldn’t vote for either option when forced to choose between those two major-party candidates,” NBC News reported.

The latest result represents a massive shift from September’s poll, which found Harris leading over her Republican rival by five points, 49 percent to 44 percent. With an expanded ballot, Trump’s support was measured at 47 percent compared to 46 percent for Harris, while an additional seven percent of respondents expressed support for additional candidates or remained undecided.

The two candidates also experienced similar shifts in terms of popularity, the latest poll found. In September, 40 percent of respondents expressed a positive view of the former president while 53 percent expressed a negative opinion. October’s poll measured a three-point jump in Trump’s overall popularity while the opposite was true for Harris, whose favorability declined from 48 percent to 43 percent.

The poll also measured former President Trump’s retroactive job performance approval rating at 48 percent, higher than it ever was during the Trump presidency. A majority of respondents, 45 percent, stated that the Biden-Harris Administration’s policies are “hurting” them, while just 25 percent stated that they are benefiting.

NBC’s poll kept in line with another Sunday release from the Wall Street Journal, which found Trump leading Harris 46 percent to 45 percent nationwide. The Journal found that swing states were too close to call.

U.S. Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) claimed that “MAGA” and “white supremacist” gangs are overrunning American cities and causing violence in an unhinged rant.

Crockett made the bizarre claims in response to former President Donald Trump’s trip to Aurora, Colorado, which has seen a massive uptick in illegal immigration. The town made national news earlier this year when members of a violent Venezuelan gang appeared to have taken over an entire apartment complex, leaving residents in fear.

The congresswoman attempted to downplay concerns from residents by claiming that “MAGA gangs” represent a far greater threat than violent, foreign gangs. Her claims have no basis in reality and are backed by no statistics, but that was not going to get in the way of Crockett’s narrative.

“He said that we’ve got these cities and these towns that are being overrun by gangs and the crime out of control. I absolutely agree with that. And guess what? It’s the MAGA gang. It is the white supremacists that have decided to descend upon places such as Springfield, Ohio,” the congresswoman ranted.

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz — who has repeatedly portrayed himself as an avid hunter and responsible gun owner — appeared to have trouble with loading his firearm while traveling with reporters on a pheasant hunt over the weekend.

Walz travelled to a rural Minnesota area for the season opener in his home state on Saturday, just after the Harris-Walz Campaign attempted to win over gun owners by announcing the hunters, gun owners and anglers coalition. The new coalition will seek to underscore Harris’ support for “traditional activities,” CBS News reported.

Walz often portrays himself as a gun owner and avid hunter who supports “common sense” gun control, while Vice President Harris has been claiming she owns a Glock throughout the campaign cycle.

Mizelle, who accompanied Walz and his entourage on the pheasant hunt, reported that the trip lasted roughly three hours. Scott Rall, who often accompanies the governor on hunting trips, made the sole kill of the day. The carcass was not recovered, however, even though recovering the body of the birds was a top priority for the hunting party.

“There’s good days and there’s great days pheasant hunting,” Walz said when the day wrapped up.

According to Mizelle, the pheasants would oftentimes fly towards the press pool after springing out of the tall grass, prompting Walz to make jokes about former Vice President Dick Cheney’s infamous hunting accident. “Every vice president joke ever made was about to be made right there. And I was just like this,” Walz said as he motioned to taking his gun off of safety.

Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, a Democrat, is facing backlash after mocking the Catholic faith in a recent TikTok video.

In the video, which was posted by TikTok influencer Liz Plank (@feministabulous,) Whitmer can be seen wearing a camouflage Harris-Walz hat in what appears to be a mockery of the Catholic faith.

Whitmer can be seen placing a Durito in the influencer’s mouth, who is on her knees with her hands folded as if to receive the Eucharist. The camera then pans to the governor, who is smirking at the camera.

The video soon went viral on social media after tens of thousands of Catholics expressed outrage over the apparent mockery.

“Let’s be clear what’s happening in this video,” former Trump advisor Tim Murtaugh wrote in an X post. “Gov. Whitmer of Michigan is pretending to give communion to a leftist podcaster on her knees, using a Dorito as the Eucharist while wearing a Harris-Walz hat. Do they want ZERO Catholic votes for Harris?”

Whitmer later issued an apology and claimed she did not mean any offense.

“Over 25 years in public service, I would never do something to denigrate someone’s faith,” the statement said. “I’ve used my platform to stand up for people’s right to hold and practice their personal religious beliefs. My team has spoken to the Michigan Catholic Conference. What was supposed to be a video about the importance of the CHIPS Act to Michigan jobs, has been construed as something it was never intended to be, and I apologize for that.”

UFC CEO Dana White was floored by Vice President Kamala Harris’ inability to “put a sentence together” during her recent appearance on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” stating that the interview should “scare the sh** out of” everyone.

When asked whether she would do anything differently than President Biden, Harris delivered a vague, rambling response that failed to answer the question. “Well, I mean, I’m obviously not Joe Biden. I know. And so that would be one change in terms of… But also, I think it’s important to say with, you know, 28 Days to Go, I’m not Donald Trump. The interview perplexed the UFC chief, a longtime supporter of Donald Trump, though he rarely offers his own political analysis. “I don’t like to post a lot of political content, but this clip should scare EVERYONE. She is the sitting VP and running for President of the United States. She is incapable of putting a sentence together without a teleprompter and even she appears to know she is in way over her head,” White wrote in an X post.

Harris has long faced criticism over her lack of television interviews and inability to speak without a teleprompter. It took more than a month for Harris to consent to a lone interview after she became the de-facto Democratic Party nominee this summer, which she conducted with her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.

The campaign has since made a deliberate effort to get Harris on the airwaves more, according to an internal memo obtained by the New York Times. Since the report, Harris has sat for interviews with Colbert, Oprah, and a number of podcasts. Walz has also been making the interview rounds after largely remaining quiet throughout the campaign cycle.

Harris’ latest round of interviews has not gone exactly well, however, as the vice president has been unable to deviate from her “word salad” speaking style. During a recent appearance on “The View,” Harris turned heads by saying that “not a thing comes to mind” when asked whether she would do anything differently than President Biden.

“I’ve been a part of most of the decisions that have had impact,” she added.

Elsewhere in the interview, Harris falsely claimed that FEMA has not used any funding to pay for the settlement of illegal immigrants in American towns. “I fear that he really lacks empathy on a very basic level, to care about the suffering of other people and then understand the role of a leader is not to beat people down, it’s to lift people up,” Harris said of her GOP rival.

An analysis conducted by the New York Post found that FEMA spend $1.4 billion on immigrants in 2024, despite the fact that Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has claimed there is no money left for hurricane relief.

College students in the state of New York are set to stage a walkout later this month in support of women’s sports.

Organized by the Coalition to Protect Kids, the “Walk Off for Fairness Day” event is set to take place nearly two weeks before Election Day on October 24. The walkout will coincide with New York’s vote on Proposition 1, titled “The Equal Rights Amendment,” which will add “gender identity” as a protected status against discrimination.

“It’s hard to believe we’re even having the conversation that girls sports would be for anyone other than girls,” Conservative Party chairman Gerry Kassar told the New York Post. “We fully support ‘Walk Off for Fairness Day’ in New York, reminding young people that there is safety in numbers. Girls Sports must remain Girls Sports, and there should be nothing controversial in that statement.”

“Girls are being systematically canceled in this state, and ‘Walk Off for Fairness Day’ will give them a safe opportunity to make their voices heard,” said Coalition to Protect Kids-NY spokeswoman Ayesha Kreutz. “So many of these young women are afraid of speaking out, so they’re forced to watch as 50 years of female athletic progress gets washed away by destructive ideologues. Girls are not second-class citizens, so why are they being treated that way?”

“It’s not right for boys to compete against girls in sports. It’s a huge disadvantage for girls,” said Hannah Pompeo, a 16-year soccer player at Eden High School near Buffalo, who is participating in the “Walk Off for Fairness Day.”

While athletics are not explicitly listed in the legislation, critics are all but certain that the legislation will allow male atheltes to compete in women’s/girl’s sports.

In June, Nassau County lawmakers   voted to pass a bill that would prohibit transgender athletes from competing in girls’ and women’s sports at county-run facilities. The measure, which applies to more than 100 sites just outside New York City, requires any teams, leagues or organizations that seek a permit from the county’s parks and recreation department to “expressly designate” whether they are for male, female or coed athletes, Fox News reported.

Any teams or leagues that allow transgender athletes to participate will be denied permits, setting up a potential showdown with the legislature if Proposition 1 passes.

The Harris-Walz Campaign is being credited with producing one of the most absurd political ads of all time as the campaign continues to struggle with men. 

The ad begins with a diverse group of men, one of whom was watering a garden, another who was lifting weights, and so forth. “I’m a man,” each of the men featured in the ad declares. 

They then proceed to describe the masculine activities each of them partake in. “I’m man enough to enjoy a barrel-proof bourbon” and “man enough to cook my steak rare. Man enough to deadlift 500 and braid the sh** out of my daughter’s hair,” the men say.

“You think I’m afraid to rebuild a carburetor? I eat carburetors for breakfast. I ain’t afraid of bears, thats what bear hugs are for.”

One of the men then declares that he is “sure as sh** not afraid of women,” something all of the actors in the ad proceeded to echo. “They want to control their bodies? I say go for it. They want to use IVF to start a family? I ain’t afraid of families. They want to be childless cat ladies? Have all the cats you want.”

The ad concludes with an endorsement of Kamala Harris for president. “Woman wants to be president? Well, I hope she has the guts to look me right in the eye and accept my full-throated endorsement.”

The ad has been near unanimously panned on social media, with most critics slamming it as out of touch and cringeworthy.

Another X user speculated that the Harris-Walz Campaign is run by “old hags” due to the references to carburetors. “You can tell this campaign is run by old hags because references like ‘rebuilding a carburetor’ sound like something you’d hear in a movie or TV show circa 1996 (because that was around the last time carburetors were relevant),” they wrote.
