There was a huge catastrophe at the Martha’s Vineyard home of Barack and Michelle Obama.
Nobody could envision what occurred.
And a dead body discovered at Barack Obama’s home left everybody in shocked silence.
Police introduced a search and rescue objective after paddleboarder reported a fellow paddleboarder struggling stay above the surface area and sinking into the water in the Edgartown Great Pond situated near the Obama estate in the liberal summer season resort enclave of Martha’s Vineyard.
The man– who was found dead– was Tafari Campbell of Dumfries, Virginia, who served as the cook in the Obama White Home and ended up being an individual good friend of the couple.
Campbell was not using a lifejacket when authorities found his body.
Campbell was checking out the Obama estate and no Obama member of the family were home at the time of Campbell’s death.
“Officials determined the 45-year-old guy who went missing Sunday as Tafari Campbell, of Dumfries, Va. Mr. Campbell had served as the cook at the White House during the Obama presidency,” the Vineyard Gazette reported.
“Shortly before 10 a.m. Monday scuba divers recovered Mr. Campbell’s body about 100 feet from coast in about 8 feet of water. He leaves a spouse Sherise and twin children, Xavier and Savin,” the Gazette’s report added.
“A search for Mr. Campbell began Sunday night, after he was initially reported missing at 7:46 p.m. in the location of Turkeyland Cove in Edgartown,” the Gazette also reported.
Barack and Michelle Obama released a statement expressing their sorrow over Campbell’s death and compassion for his staying family.
“Tafari was a beloved part of our household. When we initially met him, he was a skilled sous chef at the White Home– innovative and passionate about food, and its capability to bring people together,” the statement began. “In the years that followed, we learnt more about him as a warm, fun, extremely kind individual who made all of our lives a little better.”
“That’s why, when we were getting ready to leave the White House, we asked Tafari to stick with us, and he generously agreed. He’s become part of our lives ever since, and our hearts are broken that he’s gone,” the statement included.
Campbell is survived by his spouse and 2 children.
